Forestside Farm Caravan and Campsite.

Forestside Farm is set in 156 acres of beautiful, undulating Staffordshire countryside.

The site offers an ideal base for caravan holidays with wonderful views of the Dove Valley and Weaver Hills.

Forestside is a dairy farm, milking 90 Friesian cows and is currently attaining organic status. There are plenty of local walks to enjoy both on the farm and in the surrounding countryside within easy reach from the caravan site.


The Site

The caravan site has hard standings for five caravans, with link up for electricity, water and chemical toilet disposal. There is a safe fenced area for children to play or families to picnic or barbecue. Coarse Fishing is also available.

Club rallies for caravans can also be catered for by prior arrangement.

Well behaved dogs are welcome, but must be supervised at all times.

Around the area

Marchington is five miles from the Staffordshire market town of Uttoxeter, which also boasts one of the best regional Racecourses in the country. Alton Towers is also in easy reach, as is the National Trust property of Sudbury Hall.

The village of Marchington has a post office/Shop with fresh bread and milk available, together with newspapers and other requirements. Locally there are plenty of country pubs and eating places to suit all tastes.

Lichfield

The birthplace of Dr Johnson, with a beautiful cathedral this City has much to see and to do.

 

Cannock Chase

 Bridging the border between southern Staffordshire and the West Midlands, acres of woodland, Cannock Chase is widely regarded as one of the fastest growing areas in the region.

 

Abbots Bromley

Picturesque village where the traditional horn-dance is held every September. There are also many pubs providing good quality food

 

 Uttoxeter Racecourse 

A versatile leisure venue offering horseracing. The course also hosts a wide range of public events including antiques and special interest fairs, equestrian shows and much more

 

Alton Towers 

The UK's best theme park rides for all ages. A great day out for all the family leaving you wanting more!

 

Sudbury Hall

Local National Trust property, home of Lord Vernon. Childhood museum, tearooms in delightful village setting.

Good food served at the local pub, The Vernon Arms.
