Forget-Me-Not is a family run Holiday Park set in the beautiful Northumbrian countryside on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. It is a perfect location for those who want to ‘get away from it all’ with spectacular views of the Simonside and Cheviot Hills yet still close enough to the city of Newcastle if you like the ‘hustle and bustle’ of one of Europe’s most energetic cities.

The park has high quality amenities for Holiday Home owners and short stay visitors.

The Reception:- which is located at the entrance of the park, is open Sunday to Thursday with extended office hours Friday and Saturday. Reception staff will be happy to answer any queries, give tourist information and help you in any way they can to make your stay enjoyable.

The New fully serviced plots for your Holiday Home:-  are probably the most spacious in Northumberland.  The Glades and the Oaks are set in scenic locations, attractively positioned with adequate parking space,. There is a choice between 10 month or 11month licence.

Our touring area The Paddock:-  caters for all types of Tourers and Motor Homes and provides short-stay plots for touring visitors. There is easy access to electric hook ups, water and chemical disposal points are provided and toilet/shower and Laundry facilities are close by.

The Paddock is very popular and bookings are recommended for Bank Holidays and Peak Season.

The Croft - Your Local Pub:-  There is always a cosy atmosphere at the bar/lounge, which is at the heart of Forget-Me-Not’s complex. The Croft allows you to relax in your very own ‘local’. Used by local residents as well as visitors, the friendly ambience ensures that everyone enjoys a warm welcome.

The bar/lounge area also serves as a seating area where you can enjoy delicious ‘home-cooked’, good value pub food. A varied menu is available on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays.

The bar is well stocked with draught beers, lagers and an extensive range of spirits and liqueurs. A good variety of soft drinks are also available, ensuring that there is a ‘tipple’ for everyone to enjoy.

Live Entertainment:- is arranged most weekends, making The Croft a popular venue, especially in the summer. A Pool Table, Dart Board and quiz nights provide good entertainment during the week.

The Croft has a spacious family area, where children can enjoy the entertainment with their parents. Alternatively, parents can sit in the main bar area, whilst being able to observe their children in the family room.

The family room contains a small kiosk where children can buy soft drinks, sweets, crisps and slush's.

 Around the area

The ancient market town of Morpeth is only 10 minutes away. Here you will find interesting streets, attractive riverside walks and Carlisle Park complete with ruined castle, along with good shopping facilities and leisure amenities, including the Riverside Leisure Centre.

Local Attractions

Alnwick Castle is only a short distance away, and is renowned for its fabulous Water Garden featuring the dramatic Grand Cascade, beautiful scented Rose Garden and European inspired Ornamental Garden and your children can see where ‘Harry Potter’ went to school and learned to fly his infamous Nimbus 2000.

The historic castles and wide beaches of the Northumberland coast are not to be missed. Take a trip to Holy Island or visit picturesque fishing villages like Craster and Seahouses where you can take boat trips to the Farne Islands.

 Hadrian’s Wall, a World Heritage site and the new 84 mile Hadrian’s Wall Path, with its Roman Forts and fascinating museums.

A great day out can be had at one of the many National Trust properties you can find dotted around the area. These include Wallington Hall and Cragside House.

For those who like more leisurely pursuits, there are selected walks and cycle routes close to the Park. For the more adventurous the rugged Cheviot and Simonside Hills give breathtaking scenery and the chance to see rare and interesting wildlife.

Sporting facilities nearby include:- two 18 hole golf courses and inland watersports at Kielder Water or Woodhorn. Good fishing is available on Kielder Water, Fontburn reservoir and South Linden Fishery.

How to get here

From the South:-  You will find us twenty-four miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne. Travel north on the A1, heading for Berwick-upon-Tweed, take the A697 junction, signposted Coldstream. Continue straight on into the village of Longhorsley. Past the pub on the right take the next junction on the left, signposted Forget-Me-Not Holiday Park. The park entrance is on the right hand side, approximately one and a half miles along this road.

From the North:- Follow the A1 south through Berwick-upon-Tweed. Take the B6525 (signposted Wooler) and continue on to Wooler. Then turn left onto the A697 and follow this road until you reach the village of Longhorsley. Take the first junction on the right at the Butcher’s shop, signposted Forget-Me-Not Holiday Park. The park entrance is on the right hand side, approximately one and a half miles along this road.

Your Pitch is available from 12 noon on the day of arrival Monday to Saturday and 2pm Sunday

There is a laundry on the park, you can purchase tokens from our reception or any of our bars at a cost of £2.  There is also a tumble dryers, ironing and hand washing facilities available. The toilet and shower facilities are heated for extra comfort.
