Irton House Farm is set in 240 acres of pasture and woodland and commands probably one of the finest views to be found in the Northern Lakes. It is a working sheep farm and was chosen as the venue for BBC series 'One Man and His Dog.

We are within easy driving distance of Derwent Water, Thirlmere, Ullswater and the famous waterfall 'AiraForce', Buttermere, Loweswater and Crummock Water. The towns of Keswick and Cockermouth the birth place of William Wordsworth are also nearby.

 

Irton House Farm is ideal for a peaceful holiday, the majestic view and surrounding wildlife provides ideal inspiration for artists and photographers. More energetic pursuits such as cycling, sailing, horse riding, golf and fishing are available nearby. Keen Hill walkers and climbers are ideally situated the Northern Fells, Skiddaw, Blencathra and the Caldbeck Fells.

We are a Caravan Club Certificated location for members of the Caravan Club only. The caravan site is in a superb scenic location and we are open from Easter to the end of October. Facilities include electric hook ups, Snooker and Table Tennis. Immaculate centrally heated shower and toilet facilities.

Set in its own garden area, commanding superb views over Bassenthwaite Lake and Skiddaw we have a static caravan for let. Six Berth Cosalt 31. 2 bedrooms, Shower/Toilet, Gas Fire, Fridge, Secluded Patio with Furniture, with ample parking. Immaculate centrally heated shower and toilet facilities.

Also available self-catering luxury accommodation, sleeping from two to six persons. Wheelchair access. These are open all the year round.
