Le Dorat is a small town with character.   La Maison du Musicaïres the private residence of the Dutch conductor Wim Baarens who left his position as artistic leader of the Netherlands Radio Chamber Orchestra 20 years ago to start a new musical life in South-Western France. The interior of the house dating from 1774 has been restored over the last 4 years under the supervision of the architect responsible for the French National Monuments.  Two beautifully comfortably furnished and decorated en-suite rooms. Both rooms face into the garden. A vast music room with grand piano, TV and thousands of CD's of mainly classical music are at your disposal.
