Jim and Anne Johnson the proprietors of Tŷ Newydd Bed and Breakfast /Chambres d' Hôtes  offers you a warm welcome on your arrival.

This newly established bed and breakfast is ideally located between the ports of Calais and Boulogne. After a tiring journey in the UK followed by a ferry/tunnel crossing of the channel?  We are here to offer you a restful night prior to your onward journey within mainland Europe.

Tŷ Newydd is equally suitable for short breaks and a home from home for longer holidays. The house is situated in the Two Capes National Park overlooking farmland with sea views across the channel with immediate access to cliff walks and beaches. Hardelot and Le Touquet are a short drive away with their golf courses and horse riding facilities.

Accommodation

Bedrooms:- We have two rooms each with a double bed, we are able to offer these as family rooms with a maximum of two children at 15€ per child per night.  Each room has its own shower room and separate WC.

There is also a kitchen/dining area with kettle and microwave for modest self catering.

Around the area

There are a variety of coastal walks in the area including those with magnificent views of the UK. There are many large sandy beaches which are perfect for fishing, sand yachting, wind and kite surfing etc.

There are Mussel beds on a local beach where you can watch the mussel farmers at work and then taste their wares at the many brassieres and restaurants.

Places of Interest

Historical points of interest include several war museums, German rocket bases, underground arsenals, gun emplacements etc. plus a Napoleonic Fort and a statue of Napoleon with his back firmly turned towards the UK coast! 

There are a choice of shopping centres (Cité d'Europe is 20 mins away) for the all important stocking up of wines, cheeses, local specialities etc.

Leave the A16 at junction 36, then follow all signs to Cap Gris Nez.

50€  per room per night which includes a continental breakfast.
