Rochessauve is a magical area for a weekend or a couple of weeks. You will have the feeling of staying at some old friends‚ house.
Everything is at hand to make the moments lived there unique: a relaxed atmosphere, an exceptional welcome full of simplicity and discretion. Yannick‚s cooking, inventive and tempting, is rhythmed by the seasons and the generosity of the vegetable garden, and in the morning, breakfast taken in the freshness of the courtyard cannot be compared to any other!
The natural elegance present in the smallest details has no other aim than to make you a privileged guest, in harmony.
Everything is there for you to commune with nature. An exceptional area, lodged on a cliff and protected from the 'Mistral', whilst overlooking the grandiose panorama of the Alpine range.
The region is one of harmony, already part of the Mediterranean but still
clinging to the mountains. There are infinite posibilities of walks and the days
often end up in the swimming pool. But it is not necessary to go very far to be
refreshed. A stroll in the vegetable garden or lingering along the flower beds,
Jacques is there to share with you his love and passion of rare and forgotten
plants.
Refinement is at the core of well-being, and it is perhaps why you feel so

History
Jean Francois de Rochessauve would have been able to help us in this enterprise. Heir of a family which lived in the castle since the 13th century, he was appreciated for his love of life, good wine and the pleasures of the flesh which he shared good heartedly.
He unjustly suffered from the revolutionary turmoil and the madness of
intolerance!
Besides, the Ardeche region is the land of convictions! Discovering its villages
and its monuments will bring you back in time.
Here, history reveals itself and our roots are revived at every step taken

Train station of Valence and Montélimar. About 1/2 hour by car.

Exit N°16: Loriol- Go through le Pouzin Follow the direction of Privas'
by the national road RN86- Take the departmental road D22 in the direction of
Chomerac Coming out of Chomerac, drive 1.7km- Take the departmental road D2D in
the direction of Rochessauve 100m further, take the D299 in the direction of
Rochessauve drive 3.3km more- Take the small road on the right indicating 'Le
Ranc/Verrras/ le château drive up the steep small tarred lane for 2km to arrive
at the castle
