Comfortable Chambres d'Hotes in a provencal Mas with pool near Grasse, 16 kms from Cannes, South of France.
Our house is 6 kms from Grasse, set on a hillside with marvellous views for miles around. It is surrounded by a Mediterranean garden and oaks, pines and olive trees, scented with wild thyme making this an ideal comfortable, restful base in a corner of France that calms the soul and fills the senses.
Cannes is 16 kms from here,
Antibes, 35 kms and some of the lovely
old villages, Gourdon, St Paul de Vence
and Mougins are all within an easy
drive.
Accommodation
One double room and a suite with one or two bedrooms, all with bathrooms and private entrances.
Double bed with shower room and looks onto the terrace and the view beyond.
The Swimming
pool
Is large, 17 x 8 metres, with a depth of 3 metres, and there is private parking.
Breakfast is served either in the dining room facing onto the hills towards Grasse, or on the terrace outside.
For lunch or dinner, we can recommend an excellent restaurant, 4 kms away.
Activities
St Cassien:- 10 minutes away has a lake with water sports facilities and quiet spots where you can fish for carp.
Fayance:- There is a gliding club in and an excellent golf course and a tennis club in Mougins, less than 15 minutes away.
Antibes:- The Marineland here is fun for both children and adults. An hour to the north are the spectacular Gorges du Verdon and some of the Côte du Rhône wine villages.
Grasse:-
Famous the world over for making scents and you can visit one of the factories to see how it is made. One of the most attractive aspects of this are the fields of brilliantly coloured cultivated flowers grown along the coast between Nice and Cannes that are used for making the essences.Cannes:- A shoppers paradise and any trip begins with a stroll along La Croisette the main boulevard stretching along the seafront. In the back streets behind though, you can find specialty food stores and antique shops. Vallauris is a village known for its pottery, Biot is known for its glass.

How to get here by road
Paris/Grasse - 8h30
minutes.
Take the D2562 towards Draguignan through Peymeinade and continue for 1 km. Turn
left onto the Avenue de Peygros after the signpost for Le Mas des Arts, and
continue for just over 2 kms. The Mas is on the left, No 219.
From the motorway,
take exit 39 towards Fayence along the St Cassian lake, then take the direction
towards Grasse across the Val du Tignet,
and 200 metres after the Peymeinade sign, turn right onto the Avenue de Peygros,
continue for just over 2 kms and you've arrived!
