Your hosts Ed and Marischka Wilhelm, a not so very young Dutch couple, who made a dream reality: starting a Gîte in the French Alps. A Gîte is a Chambres & Table d’Hôtes (a guesthouse) where you are our guests. And to make it easy for you, we speak English.
Accommodation
Bedrooms
On the second and third floor we have 1 three double-bedded and 1 four bedded rooms, also 3 two bedded rooms.each with splendid views of Mont Blanc.
The beds are double, a high sleeper and a bunk bed.
All rooms are en-suite with toilet shower and wash basin. The three and four bedded rooms also have a bath.
Living/Dining Room
On the ground floor there is a living/dining room with an open fireplace,
where you have your breakfast and supper with us at our table.
We also have an area There where our guest can leave their skis, ski- and
mountain boots and wet clothing.
Outside
On the first floor outside is a large sun terrace with beautiful views.
Around the area
The possibilities for walking near the Gîte are from easy to very difficult.
Just from the Gîte you can make short and light walks, but also long ones and
very challenging. The village lies at the foot of the rocks of the "Chaine des
Fiz" with summit's over 2000 meter, there you find the challenging walks with
big difference in heights. It is possible in one day to walk to a mountain
hut and back to the Gîte.
In the mountains around the village there are several lakes, where to you can
make walks. A simple walk to the "Lac Vert".
Just above the village lies "Le desert de Platé", a geological and very
interesting area, where you can find fossil's and footsteps of the Dinosaur. To
walk up there takes about two and a half hours but is worth while.
At Plaine Joux, at an altitude of 1300 meter, is the jumping site for
paragliding.

Raften, Hydrospeed, Cannoning, Canyonning, Mounting Climbing, Cycling Tennis
and Golf,
Paragliding, and many more.
Walking in the mountains on a higher altitude These walks will
mostly be made with a mountain guide. The walks will pass often the glaciers and
it is therefore necessary that your equipment is in good order.
Winter Sports:- Skiing, Snowboarding, Cross Country and Snow
walking.
