This beautiful Chateau was built in the XVIIIème century and is situated in grounds of 8 hectares set in the peaceful vineyard of Pécharmant.
Bergerac is set in the beautiful district of Aquitaine which s reported to be the finest climate in Europe. We are only about one hours drive 89km from the Atlantic coast and Bordeaux. There are Daily flights from London Stanstead. Also Southampton by Flybee.
Bordeaux is particularly
well known for its surrounding wine-growing region. The vineyards of Bordeaux
with their Margaux, Médoc, Sauternes and St. Emilion wines are leaders in
their fields in an area where many other excellent wines are produced. Many chateaux and growers open their
doors to our clients for cellars tours and wine tasting.

In addition to its wines, Bergerac is an important tobacco growing centre and in the old town you can visit both the tobacco and wine museums. The town is very busy in the summer months with Saturday (a.m.) and Wednesday (all-day) markets. With is an excellent choice of open-air eateries.
Aquitaine's capital,
Bordeaux is a thriving port city on the Garonne River with beautiful
18th-century mansions and architecture, including its Grand Theatre by
architect Victor Louis, excellent shopping and numerous cultural events, such
as the traditional May Music Festival.

Cuisine
The most celebrated regional specialty is foie gras, specially prepared livers of geese and ducks, seasoned and stuffed with regional truffles. Confits (preserved goose and duck) are a key ingredient in a number of dishes. Fish and seafood, like carp stuffed with foie gras, mullet in red wine are also common. Oysters are served with Entre-deux-Mers wine, with tiny sausages or crepinettes. Duras
With a fascinating chateau overlooking the Dropt valley, the picturesque town
comes alive in the summer with weekly events such as the wine festival, antiques
fairs and night markets. There is a lively market on Monday mornings. The
Hostellerie des Ducs restaurant is highly recommended.
St. Émilion
Best known for its wines, St. Émilion, is also a beautiful medieval town and a
World Heritage Site. Take a guided tour from the tourist office; enjoy the view
from the bell tower. Wine lovers can arrange tastings and tours (also at the
tourist office).
Lac de Castelgaillard
Summer swimming lake just north of Duras. Fun day out for kids with water
slides, pony riding, quad bikes and more. Restaurant and bar for refreshments.
Ste. Foy la Grande
Busy town on the Dordogne river. The furthest east of the Bordeaux wine
appellation. Bustling Saturday market and good choice of restaurants. Excellent
firework display on Bastille night(14th. July) over the rive
Located on the Dordogne River, east of Bordeaux, Bergerac is noted for its wines, particularly the sweet white wine Monbazillac. This port town was largely destroyed during the Wars of Religion and, heavily renovated, little of the original city remains.
