Les Cerisiers has recently been tastefully restored, blending original features and antique furniture with modern comforts

All rooms have been recently decorated and are well appointed with tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryers, comfortable chairs and ample storage space.

Laguepie is ideally situated for touring the many splendid bastide villages of the region, the Gaillac vineyards, or simply admiring the ever changing and spectacular local scenery

For winter breaks there is full central heating and a drying area for coats and muddy boots and for summer, fans, a guests fridge and lots of shady places to relax with a cool drink.

Bedrooms

Aveyron:- A charming double room decorated in shades of peach with comfortable bed, antique furniture,  a sitting area with views over the river and the ruined chateau.

Tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, ample storage and en-suite shower room, with large shower cubicle with thermostatically controlled shower, washbasin and w.c.

Viaur:-  Another spacious double room with en-suite shower room, with the same facilities as Aveyron but decorated in lavender and cream to match its original grey marble fire place. The view also encompasses the local Bouledrome, so you can watch the match over a cup of tea.

Tarn and Garonne:-

On their own floor these two rooms form a suite ideal for a family or friends travelling together. One room has a double bed and room for an extra child's bed and the other has two full sized single beds. Both rooms are light and airy with views over the village and surrounding countryside. The two rooms are separated by a small landing off which there is a separate new tiled shower room, with wash basin and w.c and large shower cubicle.

All bedrooms non-smoking

Dining Room:-  Breakfasts may be taken in the bright dining room, or on the balcony or shady terrace and guests are welcome to share our comfortable lounge.

A fridge is provided for guests who wish to purchase picnic food - and picnics may be eaten on the terrace or in the garden if required.

Outside:-  Both the terrace and balcony are equipped with tables and chairs where guests may relax with a drink or a book.

Private parking is available in the grounds.

Location:- The village itself has facilities for canoeing and other water based activities, tennis, mini-golf, and fishing, and quad biking and horse riding are available nearby. There is a swimming platform and small beach on the River Viaur.

Places to visit:-  Najac - The fascinating arcaded village place leads down through winding streets to the famous chateau which sits on a hilltop in fairytale fashion.

Cordes sur Ciel -  Seen from the approach roads this, one of the most beautiful hilltop villages, seems to float in the sky (sur ciel).  A lively Saturday market takes place at the foot of the hill.

Albi -  A beautiful, old but dynamic city with something for all the family.

Gaillac -  Best known for its vineyards, where you can spend a few happy hours tasting the various vintages and choosing some to take home. 

Villefranche de Rouergue -  A good sized local bastide town with a lively market every Thursday. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, with numerous historic buildings and points of interest, it is an ideal day out.

St. Antonin Noble Val -  Set in one of the more spectacular reaches of the Aveyron gorge this unspoilt medieval village was the setting for the film "Charlotte Gray". Eagles can sometimes be seen soaring above the surrounding cliffs and the area is an artists paradise.

How to get here:-  By Air - Toulouse 100 km Car hire available at both airports
Rodez 70 km

By Rail - Laguepie is served by the main Paris-Toulouse line making a break without a car possible.
Station 500 metres from house.

By Road - Laguepie is approximately 10 hours drive from the Normandy ports.
A20 from Limoges Exit 61 Montauban D115 St Antonin Noble Val continue to Laguepie 25 km Les Cerisiers situated D106b to Najac. 100 metres on right.
