Les Maurelles" is a beautiful  country residence surrounded by ten charming old cottages standing in 4 acres of land. The main house has three rooms, the so-called Chambres d'Hôtes: Bed & Breakfast and the possibility of evening-meals.

The Dordogne, "le pays de l'homme", the land of the Cro-Magnons, one of the first peoples to inhabit France, is a very green region of great natural beauty, with castles from the time of Charlemagne, stalactite and stalagmite caves and the Dordogne and Vézère rivers.

Enjoying the lovely climate, canoeing, walking and biking tours, lovely local restaurants, Bordeaux and Cahors wines ....

Milhac, a small village in Perigord style is 17 kilometres south of Sarlat, on the border of the Lot, 7 km north of Gourdon and 6 kilometres south of the Dordogne river. At the top of the village a beautiful castle on a rock overlooks the valley. It is still inhabited by its owners.

FACILITIES:- On the property you will find a large blue swimming pool (6x12meters) and a small baby pool.

There is also a children's play area with swings, etc., and pony’s who enjoy the company of children who are  welcome to take them for short rides.

Pets are welcome. We assume they are well looked after. They aren’t allowed near the swimming pool. Dogs have to be on the leash!

Mountain bikes are easily rented locally. There are stables 6 kilometres away for classes or trekking.

We organise a trout-barbecue evening near the swimming-pool all most every week.

Near Grolejac, 4 kilometres away, a small lake provides fishing, swimming and wind surfing facilities. Six kilometres away you can rent canoes for lovely quiet trips on the Dordogne, with magnificent views of several castles along the river. You will float down the river with the current and you will be picked-up and brought back to your starting point by the owner of the canoes.
If we have enough asking we organise an excursion, starting in the morning at "les Maurelles" and ending also with us end of the afternoon.

There is a tennis-court in the village about two-hundred meters away ( you can reserve the court by us). Next to it you will find the traditional "jeu-de-boules" courts. Near Vitrac, 15 kms from here, there is a beautiful 9 holes-golf-course.
