La Vallée is a 19th Century restored mill, with wooden beams and working fireplaces.
La Vallée lies in a valley right next to the River L'Autize, where you may fish just 100 yards from the house, for a small licence fee, payable locally. Or, if you prefer, you may just stroll along the bank, where picnic tables can be found.
There is a comfortable television room, where you may watch English TV or play your own videos, and in the winter months, the room is kept warm by an enclosed fire.

All rooms are Ensuite with shower and toilet.

There is a hairdryer and alarm clock in each room, and tea and coffee facilities are available.
Breakfast consists of fruit juice - cereal - yoghurt -
cold meats and cheese - croissant - brioche - bread - butter - confiture and hot
drink of your choice.

Location is 10 kms from Fontenay le Comte in
the Vendee.
Our village has its own lake with manmade beach and water slide.
Fontenay le Comte has a brand new swimming pool/spa centre. canoeing and kayaking, rifle range, gliding, parasailing, horse riding etc all to be found in Fontenay.
We are just 10 kms from Mervent forest, the Marais
Poitevin (Venise Vert) where you can take a punt with or without a guide.
La Rochelle is just 50 kms - Les Sable d'olonne is 60 kms Poitiers the home of Futeroscope which is just 1hr up the motorway.
Puy du Fou 60 kms Excellent 18 hole golf course just
30 minutes.
Niort is just 20 kms offering an excellent shopping area.
