Romantic Brittany at your feet -  One of the last corsairs of the swashbuckling folk heroes of legend lived here once.

Le Pont Ricoul Chambre d'hotes is situated close to Saint Malo and Dinan in a touristic area.  One of the two guests houses is just beside the lake in the old wash house. The present owner lives in the converted stable block.

Accommodation

The small house, the house of the gardener or granitery, our rooms d' hosts are appreciated for their independence and charm. 

The second one is a part of the main house but also private.

Room 1

The little house by the lake. On the first floor, small sitting room with lake view, comfortable convertible sofa for fourth person.

Bathroom:- Small bathroom (shower) and toilet

Bedroom:- Upstairs, one double and one single bed, ideal for a family.

Room 2

Main house extension, independent from this one, with private terrace on the west side ..

Bathroom:- with shower and toilet

Bedroom:- Upstairs, one double bed and two singles.

This room is more comfortable with more space than in the’ little house.

Dinner:- We sometimes can provide dinner on request.

Room 3

This building was restored last year and originally was the building where the gardener used to store his garden equipment.

As you can see on the photos , it is also situated independently in the garden, with a private terrace and lake view. It was arranged with the same spirit as the two other rooms (or house).

 

Bedroom:- the bedroom is on floor level with no steps.

The bathroom:-  is made from nice large stone slates which are also used in the large shower . The sink is made from a granite solid block .

We installed two matless over the bathroom  (the koop ? chicken house! ).  This was named from our visitors with children who enjoyed sleeping there . Access with a ladder.

Around the area

Dinan:- 12 kms, medieval town ,located in a dominant position over the river ‘Rance’’.

Saint Malo:- 25 kms was one of the starting centres of the great Maritimes discoveries in the 16th century.

Mont Saint Michel:- 35 Kms, heritage of Humanity.

Rennes:-  40 kms, dignified capital of Brittany, very nice and interesting to visit the old city centre and also the Musee de Bretagne et des Beaux arts

Directions

40 kms north of Rennes, 30 kms south of St Malo along the N 137 .

Leave the dual carriage way for St Pierre de Plesguen .

In St Pierre, at the church, take the way to Lanhelin (D 10 ) for one mile and follow the signs :

Dinner

We can sometimes provide dinner.          The rate is 20 Euros per person including drinks.
