Domaine de la Thiau

Built in the 18th century and entirely renovated in 2001, the wonderful old "Mansart" style manor house stands very close to our home. Independant car park and entrances allow you complete freedom.
Our guests are always welcome to enjoy the 7 acres of park with secular trees and flowers.

A modest distance to the south east of Orleans and to the north of Sancerre
at the eastern end of the Valley of the Kings, between Gien and Briare only 150km from Paris. Three rooms, a suite and a gite await you.

We have deckchairs, tables, outdoor games for children, tennis and table-tennis.
The Loire river can be reached by a private path (300 metres), which is a good starting place for walks or bike-rides. Pets are welcome: 5 Euros per night.
Washing-machine: 4 Euros (soap and wash).
Bikes renting: 8 Euros each (bikes storage area for your own).
Baby-sitters (our 2 oldest children) available :5 Euros per hour . 

Please note we are a Non Smoking house.

Lounge

Like all the interior of the house, the lounge upstairs is tastefully decorated and furnished with nice old pieces. It is shared by guests. Breakfast which is included in your tariff is served here when weather is not favourable for it to be taken outside on the flower decked terrace. Also by prior arrangement, you can enjoy a dinner with 1st course, main course, cheese, dessert, bread and drink for 14 euros/adults and 7euros/child.

It contains also a dining-area (fridge, microwave and dishes) which is available for those staying at least 2 nights. Pay-phone, games, radio and small library at your disposal.

Bedrooms

The Pink Room:

This upstairs bedroom with one east window overlooking the park, is furnished in "Louis-Philippe" antique and provides one double and one single beds. Private en-suite shower room and toilets.

Night rate : 45 Euros for 2 people breakfast included

The Blue Room:

Upstairs, this bedroom (22 m2), with 2 windows facing south and east overlooking the park and furnished with "1900" antique provides 1 double (140cm) and 1 single (90cm) beds. Private en-suite bathroom and toilets.  
Night rate 48€ for two people breakfast included.  14€ for each additional guest. (from 2 years) 

The Green Room

This upstairs bedroom (25m2 large) with 2 windows facing west and east overlooking the park and furnished in "18th century regional" antique provides 1 double (140cm) and 1 single (90cm) beds. Private en-suite bathroom and toilets.
Night rate : 51 Euros for 2 people breakfast included. 14 Euros for each additional guest (from 2 years old)

The Francois 1st Suite:

On the ground floor, with a private entrance and a door leading to the rest of the house, this small apartment (60m2) with 5 windows opening to the east and west overlooking the park, is made up of 1 bedroom with lounge and chimney 1 double bed  and a living-room 1 single bed . All furnished in "Louis-Philippe" antique. Private en-suite bathroom and toilets. Private kitchen corner (fridge, gas, cooker, dishes and utensils.

Nightly rate : 58€ for 2 people breakfast included.78€  for 3 people.14€ for each additional guest (from 2yrs) years old).
10% reduction for all rooms if you stay 3 or more nights (except for French bank holidays and (July and August).

We offer a 10% reduction for a stay of four nights or longer

We can offer a babysitting service for 6 €/hour.

The Gite by the Loire

This small apartment (approx. 50 m2) located on the ground floor of the guest house comprises one bedroom with a double bed and single bed, a living room with kitchenette (refrigerator, gas stove, microwave oven, dishes, etc.) and a bathroom (shower and wc). Furnished with quality antique furniture, it also has a TV and telephone jack. The washing machine is shared in another part of the house. A private entrance faces the south with private parking and small garden with barbecue and garden furniture.

Weekly price includes electricity, water and heating: 155€ (low-season).
200 Euros (middle season) / 240 Euros. (July-august)
Weekend rental:   150 €,  3 nights all included without breakfast.
