Brecks Cottage is a family run Bed and Breakfast set in the heart of the beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside close to the historic market towns of Newark and Retford and near to Nottinghamshire Lincolnshire border in the Heart of Sherwood Forest, Robin Hood Country.

hamlet of Moorhouse.
This beautiful seventeenth century cottage has been sympathetically renovated and extended to preserve the old world charm, whilst offering modern comforts.
You will always receive a warm and friendly welcome whether you are just passing or want to spend a few days looking around this historic part of Nottinghamshire
The Rooms
The Pink Room:- The Pink Room is situated in the main house and can be either double or twin bedded by arrangement.
Double Rooms
The Lilac Room: - is situated in the main
house. It offers double bedded accommodation with a private bathroom next door.
The corridor between the bedroom and bathroom is screened off from other
guests.
The Peach Room:- is situated in the main house and is a permanent double-bedded room.
The Mint Room: - is situated in the annexe. It offers twin/double bed accommodation on the ground floor. There is a mezzanine level with a single bed, or two single beds with reduced floor space. The mezzanine level is suitable for children or fully mobile adults and is accessed via a fixed wooden ladder with handrails. There is a latchable gate at the top of the ladder for safety. The room has been designed to be suitable for people with reduced mobility.
The Primrose Room: - is situated in the annexe. It offers twin/double bed accommodation on the ground floor. There is a mezzanine level with a single bed, or two single beds with reduced floor space. The mezzanine level is suitable for children or fully mobile adults and is accessed via a fixed wooden ladder with handrails. There is a latchable gate at the top of the ladder for safety. The room has been designed to be suitable for people with reduced mobility.
Information
Guests are welcome to bring in take-aways or prepared meals to eat in the dining room where there is a guest microwave. Crockery and cutlery are available.

We are ideally situated for visiting both the Market towns of Newark and Retford, which are full of interesting places to visit, and in addition the historic cities of Nottingham and Lincoln are a short drive away. Newark is recognised as being one of the major Antique Centres in the United Kingdom with six annual fairs boasting over £50 million on sale at each show, also visit the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre celebrating the past history of Robin Hood and his merry men.
