Amberley Gardens is a large, modern ranch-style bungalow, situated in one acre of idyllic lawns and gardens with river frontage. We are tucked away behind the 12th-centuary Parish Church in the conservation area of the village, overlooking the Wreake Valley, and offer bed and breakfast and self catering accommodation.

You can enjoy breakfast in the garden room, with plenty of  Swans and bird life on the river bank. At night watch for the foxes with their cubs on the floodlit lawns. Fishing is very popular with the anglers.

Nearby Horse Riding is available at the Riverside Riding Centre and there is also a 18-hole golf course just 3 miles away.

The village of Asfordby By The Wreake is just 3 miles west of the famous pork pie and Stilton Cheese town of Melton Mowbray, which has bustling street markets every Tuesday and Saturday.

Melton's 13th-centuary St Mary's Church is one of the most impressive in the country and is well worth a visit. Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham and Oakham are all within a 15 mile radius. Robin Hood country is also close by. Other places to visit are Warwick Castle, Stratford-upon-Avon, Rockingham Castle, Belvoir Castle, and the Peak District which is just one hours drive away.

Excellent meals served at nearby Inns within walking distance.

All our bedrooms have colour Tv, and tea/coffee making facilities, plus ensuite bathrooms and are centrally heated throughout.

Our Holiday Annex is self-contained with its own entrance. The kitchen is fitted with a gas cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine.

The small hall leads to the 18x12ft lounge into the dining  Conservatory, overlooking lawns and gardens to the river edge with rural views beyond.

The Annexe sleeps 2 in its own double bedroom - or up to 4 with an extra room in the bungalow. Bathroom has bath, shower, and WC.

 The Annexe is non smoking by popular request. There is a colour TV in the lounge and the bedroom. Sorry no pets.

Prices: £155 to £215 pounds per week.
Includes all heating and lighting. Bed linen provided.
Reduced rates available for Winter lets.
