Your hosts David and Marylyn will be pleased to welcome you to Robertswood and all its facilities and will do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable.
This a charming and imposing stone-built country residence with three floors of Victorian elegance. Only 0.8 of a mile from the historic town centre of Matlock. Set amidst woodlands on Farley hillside offering peace and tranquillity with stunning South-facing views across the Derwent Valley and surrounding picturesque Peak National Park.
Robertswood is currently the only licensed bed & breakfast/guest house within the Matlock area offering a comfortable bar/lounge area where you can relax and enjoy a drink from our well-stocked bar, and for the smokers among us we are now smoking in the front garden.
Accommodation
At Robertswood we are happy to take families, although
unfortunately we do not have any family rooms. So, “well behaved” independent
children get their own room (Good for Mum & Dad) Rooms 2 & 8 are large enough
for travel beds and can, if required take a small extra bed that we have.
Rooms:- All our rooms have beautiful views and are furnished to a very high standard. All our rooms either Twin or Double will have both en suite bath and shower. Tea and coffee facilities, colour TV's and radio alarm clocks are in all of our rooms. Rooms 1,2 and 3 also include TV/DVD players and hairdryers.
We can arrange the bedrooms from 8 couples to 11 Singles (3 twin
rooms) We can seat up to 16 people for evening dinner or up to 30 for a buffet!
We are very flexible with this package, so, if you want 1 night or 7 nights we
can tailor a package to suit any of your requirements.
Information
Fresh milk and specialist teas are always available on request.
Bar meals in the licensed bar.
Evening Meals:- After your day out, whether for business or pleasure should you wish to dine
with us, our dining room is open every evening. We have a regular Evening menu
with different specials added daily.
Please note however, a meal on the night
of your arrival would need to be pre-ordered
Half Board Packages:- As we well know and understand our clientele, we at Robertswood are more than happy to offer Bed, Breakfast and Evening Meals.

Non-residents are welcome if family or friends are staying at Robertswood
Children are Very Welcome, However we have NO “Family Rooms”.
Pets unfortunately we cannot accommodate.
Car Parking
Large private off-road car park to the front of the house for our guests.
Around the area
Numerous places of interest to visit and activities around Matlock and surrounding area.
Although we might not be the largest venue in the land we are however very capable of hosting meetings and activities for groups and small parties (up to 20 people), Whether a business presentation with mid morning coffee’s and lunch to follow, climbing up “High Tor” or just a group of work colleagues out for a ramble in the hills.
