Bainvalley Cottages offer Bed and Breakfast in a peaceful haven nestled close to the picturesque village of Hemingby.

Situated in the Lincolnshire Wolds with panoramic views of the River Bain valley. The cottages were sympathetically renovated in 2006 but still keep their agricultural heritage.

Downstairs:- Fitted kitchen (15' x 12'). Electric oven and hob, fridge / freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave. Spacious sitting area (15' x 12') with colour TV and DVD player. Cloakroom with a toilet and wash basin.

Upstairs:- Double Bedroom (12' x 10') Twin Bedroom(12' x 8'). Bathroom (10' x 8') with toilet, wash basin, a full-sized kidney shaped bath, corner shower and heated towel rail. All bed linen and towels included.

Heating:-  Under-floor with wood burning stove downstairs. AllBainvalley Cottages. Double bedroom Fuel supplied including one basket of wood. Radiators upstairs.

Garden Room :-   The  Garden room (15' x 8').  with superb countryside views
 and a place where you can come and relax

Unique facility:-  of an inter-connecting door downstairs, allowing two families or a large party of friends to holiday together but remain separate. The two cottages are mirror images of each other!

Children and careful pet owners welcome.

Beach hut available for hire.

Beaches:-  (25 -30 miles) fun by the seaside, in the quiet of Anderby Creek, Sandilands, Sutton on Sea, Skegness, Mablethorpe or Cleethorpes 30 miles with entertainment for all tastes. Why not visit the Fantasy Island Complex at Ingoldmells, advertised as the largest leisure and theme park in the UK.

Churches:- Churches give a distinctive sense of place and provide reasons to visit rural communities. There are a number of church trails in Lincolnshire poacher country.

Historic Buildings:- Gunby Hall, National Trust (24 miles). Tattershall castle, National Trust (10 miles). Thornton Abby, English Heritage (22 miles). Gainsborough Old Hall (40 miles).

Market Towns:-  Louth, (Church, antiques, Hubbards hills, Georgian architecture) (10 miles). Alford, (windmill, Manor House Museum) (18 miles). Horncastle an old Roman town which won the Millers Guide award for the best Antiques Centre, with numerous shops to visit. (4 miles). Lincoln visit the Cathedral and Castle, walk the cobbled streets of the old sector with its quaint shops, restaurants and bars (20 miles). Tattershall (10 miles) Tattershall castle, and the Tattershall Leisure Centre with all manners of outdoor water sports.

Battle of Britain:-  In World War Two, the Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa was seconded by the RAF and became the Officers Mess for the famous 617 squadron 'The Dambuster Squadron' that flew many of the now famous missions from nearby RAF Scampton. A memorial to commemorate the Squadrons achievements and losses has been erected in the Royal Square in the centre of Woodhall Spa (8 miles).

Walking:- If you enjoy walking, there are lots of local footpath networks.

Cycling:-  There are many cycle routes that take you along pleasant, tranquil, un-spoilt country lanes.

Golf:- Woodhall Spa is the National Golf Centre, and headquarters of the English Golf Union, its two famous championship golf courses are the Hotchkin and the Bracken (8 miles).

Motor Sport:-  Cadwell Park Motor Racing Circuit, near Louth (motorbikes and cars) (8 miles) .

How to find us

Bainvalley Cottages are situated in the village of Hemingby, 18 miles North East of the city of Lincoln. From Lincoln, take the A158 to Horncastle, as driving through the village of Baumber, take a left turn on to 'Hunters Lane'. At the end of this road, turn right, then immediately left. Follow the road into the village of Hemingby, past the pub called 'The Coach and Horses' on your right. As the road bends to the right, take the road to the left marked as a dead-end. Follow this driveway over the cattle grid directly to the cottages (on the left hand side)
