Bed and Breakfast and Self Catering Cottage.

Farm Court offers bed and breakfast accommodation and a self-catering cottage that sleeps up to five in a quiet part of the town of St.Anne.
The accommodation is set in a complex of farm buildings set around a cobbled courtyard garden on the edge of the village giving privacy to guests.
Its owner Moira Sleeman, has her priorities right - excellent
en-suite showers, fresh milk rather than UHT cartons for bedroom tea, and proper
breakfasts with homemade jams.
The comfortable bedrooms are decorated in simple style. .

Accommodation
All rooms have been fully refurbished, with the early stone farm buildings and cobbled courtyard forming the basis of a comfortable and simple holiday home.
Farm Court House adjoins the guest rooms that have their own sitting room and dining room. Breakfast is prepared in the House kitchen and is served in the dining room. Visitors using the cottage could also be accommodated as bed and breakfast guests should that be preferred.
The bed and breakfast accommodation is:- all ensuite with shower or bath, television, and the choice of twin or double beds. There is a guest sitting room and dining room, and a separate entrance from the courtyard. Accommodation is all at ground level. The courtyard is available for your enjoyment. There is a separate entrance to the guest accommodation leaving you to come and go as wished.
Where possible, the food we serve is locally produced. The
island dairy farm produces delicious milk and cream. The bakery bakes good
bread. And we can cope, we're sure, with your dietary requirements.
There are excellent nearby restaurants and hotels for luncheon and dinner.
At Farm Court we are enthusiastic about a host of activities and interests:- Should you wish to paint you will be encouraged by your hosts (in water-colours or oils). The landscapes and townscapes are beguiling. We can put you in touch with knowledgeable naturalists, historians, musicians, potters, jugglers, keep-fit fans and dancers! But, if you must work while you're here, we have 'the technology'.
Alderney
Farm Court is in the town of St. Anne away from the busier streets, opposite the renowned Alderney Pottery. The majority of Alderney's tourist accommodation is not on the coast, which gives the glorious beaches the advantage of being free from the pressures of commerce. Yet island distances are small so that all the amenities are within walking distance of our central situation. As well as the choice of beaches with fine sand and safe bathing, all washed twice daily by the tides, there are exhilarating cliff walks, and extensive views over our tiny island - only 3.5 miles by a maximum of 1 mile wide.
A day's walk would take you around the beaches and cliffs and Victorian forts, with the remains of German occupation during World War II still evident.
The town is cobbled and charming with good pubs, cafes and restaurants. Food is served in some of the pubs. Shopping is limited but good; V.A.T does not apply ! There is an occasional cinema ; there are music recitals ; there is jazz on a summer eve'. The Pottery makes handsome dishes. There's a fascinating museum to give you the history of the island ; and what a history - from Iron Age to Roman, to Norman, to Napoleonic, Victorian, World War evacuation and dark days.
There are numerous well-established island events throughout the year. There's milk-o-punch Sunday in May for serious imbibers ; the Fly-in and Air Race in June ; sailing regatta in July; angling festival, Fun Run and half marathon in October; there are food festivals, tennis competitions, sailing events . . . the splendid golf course is a challenging nine holes with unrivalled views. Our unique white hedgehogs may be seen. Puffins visit the island of Burhou during the nesting season. There are boat trips and fishing is always on the agenda, as is sand castling and sunbathing, walking and talking.
So come and find for yourself the reasons that visitors become addicted to Alderney's way of life.
