Dalbeattie, which was founded approximately 200 years when the granite industry
was booming, are always ready to give you a warm welcome.
Belle Vue was built in 1842, It is made from granite mined in the local Dalbeattie quarry. Sandra and Nigel bought the house in 1997 converting it into an attractive bed and breakfast using their talent to provide many comforts whilst keeping many of the traditional features that made this property so desirable for so many years thus superbly blending the old and the new.
We
have a
twin bedded room with a private bathroom and a spacious family room with a
private shower room. All rooms have a colour TV,
tea/coffee making facilities.

Breakfast
comprises of a typically Scottish platter or if you prefer a continental one can
be provided.
Here
at Belle Vue we try to create a professional approach with a relaxing atmosphere
for our guests and we have most
recently added a conservatory for our guests to relax in leaving a spacious yet
intimate dining room. We
also have
the benefit of ground floor accommodation
to offer our guests,
a second luxurious en-suite double room.
For the start of the 2003 season we have achieved the grade 3 award for
disabled guests.
We
also provide hair dryers, alarm clocks/radios, baby listening service,
children’s play area, central heating throughout, garden to sit in, large off
road car park, storage for bikes and sportswear etc in fact we will try to meet
all your needs.
For
the comfort of all our guests, we have a non-smoking policy.

so whether it’s a romantic break or a family affair Belle Vue will take care
of you.

Dalbeattie

town has a traditionally quaint look about it with its granite built houses and
local shops, it has a park reputed to be one of the best in the south west that
has plenty of recreational activities consisting of a multi purpose play area:
putting, trampolines, boating and swings.
The
local forests, two of which provide some excellent signposted walks where red
squirrels and other rare wildlife can be seen and one provides an excellent
setting for mountain bikers.
Amongst
the sports surrounding Dalbeattie is sea angling, Golf with some 28 courses in
less than an hours drive away,
A
five minute drive and you at the coastline with its coastal walks allowing you
to take in the breathtaking views and the local wildlife in their natural
habitat its certainly one for the ramblers and twitchers alike.
