Belleek Charter Cruising is based in Belleek, and set in a scenic village at the westernmost point of Lough Erne.

Our base is the most modern on Lough Erne, situated next to Explorerne, which tells the history of the entire waterway system.

Whether you travel to Fermanagh as a family, a group of friends, a couple or on your own, whether you expect spectacular scenery, excellent fishing, romantic settings or just a quiet few days away form your hectic everyday life.

Lough Erne

Lough Erne with its stretches of water covering over 300 square mile, studded with over 156 islands, has been long known for its natural beauty. It is a birdwatchers’ paradise.

The fishing is one of the best and attracts anglers from all over the world. Historic sites, castle ruins and stately homes on islands and on shore tell of the colourful story if County Fermanagh through the centuries. For watersport enthusiasts there are centres for windsurfing, waterskiing, canoeing and jetskiing. And after all the activities on the water, why not relax over a pint of Guinness in one of the traditional pubs, or shut down the galley for the evening and enjoy a meal in one if the many restaurants catering for all tastes.

Fermanagh

Fermanagh, situated in the south west of Northern Ireland, is renowned for its waterway and is a haven for those who participate in cruising, fishing and watersport holidays. However, with its numerous jetties, the County can boast of many attractions accessible to those on boating holidays. The following places of interest are either by the water’s edge or within reasonable walking distance of a jetty.

Ardhowen Theatre:-  Wide programme of event, restaurant, photographic exhibitions in foyer.

Belleek Pottery:-  Guided tours weekdays all year round. Visitor Centre with museum, tea-room and shop, also open weekends in high season.

Carrickreagh View Point:-  Moor at jetty and make the short uphill walk through the forest for breathtaking views of Lower Lough Erne.

Castle Archdale Country Park:-  Marina, exhibition centre (open April to September) caravan and camp site, youth hostel, pony trekking, forest trails.

Castle Caldwell and Wildlife Reserve:-  Walks, wildlife observatory in forest, ruins of plantation castle, fiddlestone.

Castle Coole House:-  Georgian Mansion (moor near Ardhowen Theatre public jetty and walk around 1km) run by the National Trust. Shop and tea room. Open April to September.

Castle Hume Golf Course:-  18 hole golf course.

Crom Estate:- 1,350 acres of woodland, parkland and wetland. Historic ruins. Visitor Centre and tea-room. Open April to September.

Devenish Island:-  One of the most famous islands in Ireland - old monastic settlement dating from the 6th Century, Round Tower, High Cross and Museum.

Enniskillen Town

Enniskillen Castle and Museum - incorporating the Heritage Centre and Museum of the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. Open all year, weekends in high season.

Enniskillen Craft & Design Centre:-  - craft units, craft shop and tea-room.

Cole’s Monument: - climb 108 steps to top for magnificent view of Enniskillen. Open mid May to September.

Castle Bowlervision: - 10-pin bowling, 3 screen cinema and night-club.

Enniskillen Golf Club: - 18 hole course.

Lakeland Canoe Centre: - Activity Centre, hostel accommodation.

Lakeland Forum Leisure Centre :- Sports, fitness room, sauna, solariums and restaurant.

Tourist Information Centre: - Shop, Bureau de Change, accommodation reservation service and exhibition.

Explorerne Centre:-  Tourist Information Centre and Exhibition Centre relating the story of the Erne. Open March to September.

Innishmacsaint:-  Old ruins and famous Celtic Cross.

Knockninny View Point:- Walk half a kilometre uphill from the jetty for a fabulous view of islands of Upper Lough Erne.

Tully Castle:-   Ruins of Plantation Castle and Victorian Herb Garden. Visitor Centre open April to September.

White Island:-  Mysterious stone carved figures on wall of ruined 12th Century Church.

Other Places to Visit

Shopping, Entertainment and Restaurants

Moor your boat at one of the public jetties in the main shopping town of Enniskillen and browse among the many shops in the town centre at Erneside Shopping Centre or Dunnes Stores. The Adrhowen Theatre (with its own jetty) has an ongoing programme of plays, concerts, shows, films, etc.
