The Shannon - A Typical Day
Shannon water lapping around the hull, boats passing, swans and cygnets feeding. Each morning as you peer through your cabin window there is a different picture painted.
Cheerful sounds of friends laughing, discussing to days destination (plans, route) and the inviting smell of the typical Irish breakfast intices you to leave your bunk, a quick shower and sit down to a peaceful meal
Making breakfast in the fully equipped galley, the smell of bacon wafting through the air. Meal finished and swans are happy to eat any leftovers from the breakfast table.
Decisions to be made ! Will we travel further today? Or just laze about and soak up the natural beauty of the river and countryside. We could take the outboard to explore the backwater and perhaps bring along the fishing rods.
Or for those who prefer relaxing at a slower pace, taking out a book and just sitting out on deck with a cool drink is always an option!
