We offer short breaks from March to the end of October -
weekends and midweek's - but you can choose to take a boat for a week or longer
allowing you cruise the River Thames upstream to Windsor or down river to
Hampton Court. You will need to purchase a visitor's licence on entry to the
Thames at the first lock you come to.
This truly delightful river is one of Surrey's best kept secrets. In the
spring the woods are full of kingcups and bluebells. There are flower-strewn
water meadows in the summer. And, later in the year, the colours of autumn are
really brought to life on the river.
Our Narrowboat Fleet
Our narrow boats are traditional in style, but easy to handle and offer every
home comfort. The outside of each boat is painted in its own individual livery
and inside you will find a full inventory of cutlery, crockery, pots and pans, a
full sized cooker, refrigerator, hot water, a bathroom with shower and gas
heating. Our Boat prices also include:- Free gas, free fuel,
free bed linen, free pets up to a maximum of 2 dogs per boat (except Gypsy Rover
where no pets are allowed), free hairdryer and a free television if required.
There is limited car parking near the Boat House, or off site parking can be
reserved in advance free of charge.
Wey Class Boats:- have all the normal
comforts but they are smaller or older craft and this is reflected in the price.
They are ideal if you want to try a boat for the first time and are on limited
budget. Black and white television and hairdryer on board. Perfect for short
breaks.
Arun Class Boats Jasmine, Willow, Gypsy
Rover and Surrey offer more luxury, more space and all the latest creature comforts. Colour
television and hairdryer on board. Ideal craft for those wanting a good quality
boat for weekly charters as well as short breaks. Please note that no pets are
allowed on Gypsy Rover.
Willow 56ft. Cruiser stern

Willow:- - Sleeps 4 using 2 Doubles or 1 double & 2 singles in separate cabins Willow is an super boat for 2 couples as the 2 double berths are in 2 separate cabins and can be left up all the time. The rear berths can also be arranged as two singles for family use. Freestanding table and chairs in the saloon and two toilets make this a truly spacious 4 berth boat. Radiator heating.
Gypsy Rover 55ft. Semi-traditional stern

Gypsy Rover:- - Sleeps 4 -6 using 3 Doubles Well planned narrow boat with all the latest features. 1 double bed in the master cabin, separate dining area (makes into a 2nd double). The saloon area has a 3rd double berth. Bathroom with hip bath and shower over. Hob and eye level oven in the kitchen. Radiator heating. No pets allowed on this craft.
Surrey 63 ft Cruiser stern

Surrey - Sleeps 6 - 8 using 2 Doubles and 4 Single Berths. Well fitted Narrowboat ideal for two families. Two Dinettes which convert to double beds at night.
There is a curtain between the centre dinette/double and the galley. There are 2 shower rooms and 2 pairs of 2 tier bunks in separate cabins.
Grenadier 56ft. Cruiser stern

Grenadier:- Sleeps 6 -10 using 2 doubles & 6 single berths. A larger, well planned Narrowboat, popular with larger groups or 2 families, large front and rear cockpits.

Goosander:- Sleeps 2 - 4 using 1 Double & 2 single berths. Popular well priced Narrowboat, ideal for families or those trying a boat for the first time.
Jasmine 53ft. Cruiser stern-

53ft. Cruiser stern-sleeps 2 - 4 using 1 fixed
double & 1 convertible double in two cabins.
Jasmine is a well fitted boat incorporating 240V mains. All ‘home comforts’ are
on board, including gas heating by radiators, full size electric fridge,
microwave oven and mains hair dryer. There is a permanent double bed in the
stern cabin and a second convertible double in the saloon. The toilet
compartment includes a sit bath/shower.
Information:- All Hire Boats. A starter pack of washing up liquid, cream cleaner, J cloth, floor cloth, matches, toilet roll, black sack and bin liner will be on board for your arrival. Bed linen is provided and a TV and hairdryer are available free of charge, but need to be reserved at the time of booking. You will need to bring your own towels and tea towels unless you are travelling from overseas, in which case towels are provided.
Holiday Narrowboat Hire:- The River Wey holds untold delights at every bend, and a Narrowboat offers the perfect holiday to relax and unwind from the pressures of everyday living. It offers the chance to experience the lovely county of Surrey from a very different angle. Feel free to explore local villages, discover riverside pubs, see the ruins of Newark Priory and the world famous horticultural gardens at Wisley. You can even moor in the very centre of Guildford, the county town, to sightsee and shop.
One Day Narrowboat Hire:-
For a special day
out with friends, family or work colleagues, there's nothing to compare with a
day on the river. You will cruise through woodlands and meadows towards
Guildford, passing through locks, beneath the ruins of St Catherine's chapel,
Guildford Castle and historic Dapdune Wharf before turning back. We will advise
you on pretty picnic spots and characterful pubs on the way or you may prefer to
wine and dine on board. Our purpose built day narrow boats are ideal for
entertaining. Each boat can accommodate up to 10 people. The facilities on board
include comfortable seating areas both inside and out in the large front
cockpit, a small fridge to keep your drinks cool, an oven, a full inventory of
cutlery and crockery and a toilet compartment.
New! Accompanied and Catered (Hotel) Cruises:- New for this season, enjoy a 1, 2, or 4 day cruise aboard the superbly appointed narrow boat Trincomalee II. Your cruise will be “accompanied and catered” by an experienced couple to allow you to relax and enjoy the Navigation with the minimum of responsibility. Of course, you may participate as much as you wish whether it be at locks, steering the boat, or just doing the washing up! Your privacy is paramount and at the end of each day on a 2 or 4 day cruise, Euan and Joanna will leave you with your pre-prepared meal and depart, returning the following morning at a civilised time.
Rowboats, Punts and Canoes:- Brightly
coloured rowboats with names such as Mr Toad, Mr Frog and Stickleback can be
hired for as long as you choose - an hour or a day. Just pay a deposit and come
back when you like - we will even loan you a lock key of you want a full day's
rowing through the locks towards Guildford. Traditional punts, double and single
canoes are also available.
BISTRO and Riverside Lawn:- Morning
coffee, Bistro style lunches, afternoon teas and Sunday Roasts - Hectors on the
Wey is the perfect place to meet friends, or drop in if you are walking the
towpath. Group bookings and private supper parties available by arrangement.
