The Ludo Camping Park is situated in a natural reserve at the foot of the Coiron, a volcanic plateau and a lime stone area where some 2000 years ago a certain Julius Caesar already put up his tents.

The Campsite is enclosed by a path that leads to our village Lussas (0,6 km), an orchard, a vineyard and a mountain stream. This stream (the Auzon) flows to the Ardeche, world famous for its Pont d’Arc (natural arch Bridge) and its canyon.

The climate in this region is similar to that of the Mediterranean and the sun is a certainty in summer, and a near certainty in off - season

Ludo Camping has tidy and clean, spacious, modern sanitary facilities (heated in off season) with good showers, private cabins and unlimited hot water (no tokens), .heated in off season, heated swimming pool with spacious sun terraces, children's pool with aquatic toys, phone booths, postal service, shop, bar, snack and pizza, café with Internet at our restaurant. The Cliffs and Gorges are only half an hour away from us, and the city of Aubenas with its castle and its market is at 15 minutes

The Middle Ages town of Largentière, the ancient city of Alba with its Roman theatre and the rich spa city Vals les Bains with its park and Casino are also within short distance. (max. 20 minutes).

At an hours’ drive are the Tanargue ridge and the Cevennes; the wondrous Gerbier de Jonc with the source of the Loire river, the small thatch roofed farms of the Massif Central.

To enhance the quiet and cosines on the campsite, families are divided into two groups : one group with kids up till 13 years of age and another group of families with also children over 13.

Specific Respect for small children and youth through 13 years in 4 out of 9 weeks peak season, i.e. from July 12th till August 14th. Daily in- and outdoor activities.
For families with kids in all ages, including over 13 years we offer countless activities in all other weeks of the high season period and in all other vacation periods and breaks.

We thus emphasize a unique activities program focused on kids. The parents can count on optimal togetherness, safety, ambiance, and respect for their children as individuals, as a group and amongst each other.

Our aim: to bring nice people together for unforgettable holidays. Means: beautifully designed camping park in natural setting right at the edge of the natural reserve of the Cevennes. Well thought through design in perfect harmony with surrounding landscape in “The garden of Europe”, along stream and small waterfall in sunny valley.

At 500 m from the village of Lussas; on the Auzon river.
Many commodities : doctor, two shops, La Tulipe Restaurant, sports field, tennis court, post office, garage and petrol station. Dance parties on village square, concerts, documentary film festival, Roman excavations, fossils.

At 10 km the town of Aubenas on the Ardeche river: its castle, historic monuments, market, many supermarkets, LPG, pedestrian shopping area, theatre, music; also antiques, handicrafts; flea market, Protestant and Catholic churches.

In a 30 km radius : stone arch bridge Vallon Pont d’Arc. Ardeche Canyon; Grotte Chauvet : prehistoric cave paintings; wine taste cellars, nougat city Montelimar, museums; Roman amphitheater in Alba la Romaine.

Facilities

Heated swimming pool of 220 m2 with sun terraces; paddling pool; modern and abundant sanitary facilities; free warm water; plots delimited by flowers, trees, bushes, hedges. Electricity 5 amps, bar, snacks, restaurant, terrace ; two inside rooms, one with fire place, a bar and sound system for easy listening music if desired. The other room is decorated and equipped as a discotheque (disco lighting) and a bar. Even kids as of 4 years have their disco parties in there. Furthermore chips and pizzas to go, satellite TV for all sports coverage.

Shallow clean brook for the little ones, deeper part way back at the end of the campsite with jump stonewall for bigger boys and girls. Well assorted shop with fresh baguettes and croissants every day, camping gas, ice blocs, postal service, telephone booths; endless sports and games at the campsite. ATB for rent, bike and hike maps for sale; table football, pool table, pinball machine, electronic racing game; table tennis, volleyball, etc.

Trout fishing in our own brook and many fishing waters nearby (tourist fishing permit for sale).

General Respect for individual needs and desires.
Quietness for quiet people and fun for the fun seekers (but only around the recreational part of the campsite, which is visually separated from the pitches/sleeping areas and out of hearing).

Shows, games, competitions on the campsite; outside e.g. outdoor sports, wild water canoeing for young and old, go-cart, quad, bungee jumping, hikes with commentary and explanation in English, wine tasting idem, nougat factory excursion, horse riding, etc. Jeu de Boules, ping pong, volleyball, card games etc. individually or in competition, led by Ludo counselors.

With our instructors : canyoning, climbing, speleology, abseiling, accrobranche; quad, water obstacle course, hike with slide rope, etc.

Attractive for families in high season. Cheap for 2 people and couples in the off season.
