Berwickshire. Ruthven House

Berwickshire Ruthven House has The five diamonds by the AA and was recently awarded the prestigious 'AA Landlady of the Year 2005' award. A fine Victorian family house set in attractive gardens and grounds amidst beautiful countryside with stunning views to the Cheviot Hills in the distance. The house is situated some 3 miles North of the historic town of Coldstream, about 8 miles South of the delightful county town of Duns and approximately 14 miles West of Berwick-upon-Tweed. We are well situated within an hour and a half's drive from Edinburgh. The house is south facing with a gently sloping lawn leading to the paddocks which lie to the front of the house. It is ideally situated as a half way house between the South of England and The North of Scotland. Ruthven House offers the visitor a truly magnificent venue for a holiday. The spacious rooms are comfortable and tastefully furnished and with large windows affording splendid views of the surrounding countryside. Fully centrally heated. We also have Residential Cookery Weekends and Residential Decoupage Weekends.
