Situated on the outskirts of the market town of La Chatre in Central France, “La Maison Rose”  is a one bedroomed, luxury accommodation which sleeps two people.  

 Bordered by the River Indre and set in a large mature garden with a pond abundant with wildlife.   Excellent for watching birds, butterflies and dragonflies, from the comfort of your sun lounger.  The ideal romantic place to relax and unwind.

The House

The house is beautifully decorated and furnished to a good standard throughout. It has a side entrance into the large kitchen with an open fire, beams and a tiled floor.

Kitchen:-  The kitchen is fully equipped  with fridge, electric range oven and hob, microwave, electric kettle, iron, ironing board and dining table and chairs.  Also on this level is the garden room which has a tiled floor, sofa, armchairs, occasional tables and beautiful views out to the garden and river.

Upstairs:-  There is a spacious bedroom with king-size beech-wood bed, exposed beams, wooden floor, plenty of storage and lovely views over the countryside. Unique stylish bathroom with tiled floor, a large, free-standing cast-iron bath with shower attachment and views over the garden and river.  Both floors are protected by smoke alarms.

Outside:-   Entrance gates to drive and carport.   Large garden with fruit trees, herbaceous plants and a lily pond, all bordered by the River Indre. There is also a barbecue and outdoor furniture provided for your use

Information:- linen and towels are included in the price.  Sorry – no smoking and no pets allowed.

Due to the layout of the property we regret it is unsuitable for children or the infirm

La Chatre in the Indre department, is ideally located to explore the surrounding departments of Creuse, Cher, Allier and  Haute-Vienne.

Booking Conditions

Upon receipt of a booking form and 50% deposit, a letter confirming your booking will be sent to you together with a receipt for your deposit and invoice for the outstanding amount. Final payment is due no later than one calendar month prior to your arrival date.

The property is offered for holiday use only. 

The rental period shall commence at 3pm on the arrival day (Saturday), and terminates at 10am on the departure day (Saturday).

All rentals run from Saturday to Saturday, unless special arrangements have been agreed with the owner.

Towels and fresh bed linen are supplied. If your stay is for more than 1 week arrangements for extra linen can be made with the caretaker on your arrival. If you would like the linen changed for you, there will be a charge for this service.

A charge of 0.15 euros per unit of electricity used will be levied.  On website bookings the first 50 units are free of charge. The meter reading will be taken in the presence of the client at the start and end of the rental period. If electricity usage for the rental period is below 50 units the difference is not refundable.
