Beautiful 19th Century Stone renovated Vicarage with Private Pool and Country Views is situated in Bechamps in a small farming hamlet in the department of Meurthe et Moselle.
The House fronts onto the side of the Village Church and the Terrace links this area with the Pool at the rear. The interior is both stylish and comfortable
The property retaining its original features is set in quiet location, 3.5 hours from Calais. Etain is 10 minutes away with plenty of good shops.
The position makes it easily accessible from the motorway A26 that runs between Reims and Strasbourg. It is also only 1 hours drive from Luxembourg where there are daily flights to Gatwick and Heathrow.
Accommodation
The property contains thick walls which keep the house fresh in the summer. There is a little step in the kitchen going to the terrace outside. Please be aware of it and tell children and older people.
Wheelchair access:- is good around the ground floor of the property. The outside is grassed so you might need a little help to push. There is a grassed slope going down the orchard. Bedroom 2 is situated on the ground floor with easy access for wheelchair.

It
is surrounded by decking and planted borders. The Pool is not overlooked and
there are uninterrupted views across the valley
Around the area
Coast/Beach:- Lac de la Madine is 30 mins drive. It offers a good range of water sports, fishing, restaurants, picnic areas etc.
Verdun:- is famous for its 1st WW
battle fields. Beautiful town with great bars and restaurants by the quay of La
Meuse river (20 mins).
40 mins away there is a great theme Walibi park for children.
Nearest town:- Etain, 10 mins. A
great selection of bakers, butchers, garages and supermarkets selling excellent
wines.
In Jarny there is a hypermarket Leclerc as well as Decathlon for sports
equipment and clothing (20 mins).
Restaurants: The closest and best locally for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner is Hotel de la Sirene, there are one or two other places in Etain but better to go to Verdun where along the river there are some good Bars and Bistros. Also just outside Verdun is an original restaurant called Le Canta where the Chef patron cooks a surprise menu. In Metz there is a very good Brasserie, Brasserie Flo, great for Fruits de Mer.
Activities:- There are two hard tennis courts at Hotel de la Sirene . The nearby Lac de Madine is great for all water sports. At Amneville, near Metz you will find many attractions including a Theme Park, Casino, Bowling Cinemas and a beautiful wooded area for Picnicking and Walking. Golf courses around the area, 40 mins drive.
