French Cottages "Gites" Paris and Fontainebleau

These beautiful cottages and classified 3 stars by the Gites de France and are situated just one hour away from Paris and close to Fontainebleau. Charmed by the marvellous scenery of this 18th century farm, we have decided to stay there and to fit out four "gites.

Ideally located, you will be able to visit Paris, Eurodisney, Versailles, Vaux-le-Vicomte and Fontainebleau castles or to go to the climbing sites of Fontainebleau forest known throughout the world. For climbing and rock-climbing amateurs, we are next to climbing sites internationally known that are located in the south of the Seine et Marne in the Fontainebleau forest. These boulders are typical geological formations of the Fontainebleau forest, a well-known heaven for hiking and bouldering (rock climbing).

French Cottages beside Paris

We offer four French cottage holidays, with splendid views of the horses in the meadows surrounding the centre. One Fench cottage for 8 people, one French cottage for 7 people and the other two can accommodate 5 people.
 

French Cottage Gite Sleeping 8 people

The Cottage has a terrace, enclosed garden, garden furniture, barbecue and car park. Surface area 120 m².

Ground floor : dining-room with a corner kitchen with dishwasher and micro-wave, living-room with fireplace, sofa and TV.

First floor : 1 room with 2 single beds, 1 room with 3 single beds, 1 room with 1 double bed, 1 single bed and a cot, shower, WC, bathroom with WC.

French Cottage Gite Sleeping 7 people

The Cottage is situated on the 1st floor, with enclosed garden and garden furniture, barbecue, car park. Surface area 110 m. Internet access.. 

Living-room with fireplace and TV, corner kitchen equipped with dishwasher and micro-wave, 1 room with 1 double bed, 1 room with 1 double bed and 1 single bed, 1 room with 2 single beds, shower, WC, bathroom with WC.

The Cottage has enclosed garden, garden furniture and barbecue, car park. Surface area 70 m².
Kitchen with dishwasher and micro-wave, dining-room with fireplace and TV, 1 room with 1 double bed,1 room with 3 single beds, 2 showers, WC.
 

Climbing in the area

The Fontainebleau forest is one of the most beautiful climbing sites in France and is also an internationally well-known site for bouldering.
The sandstones of Fontainebleau are famous for their low height and the strange forms of the rocks known by climbing amateurs.
Climbing at "Bleau" (nickname known from climbers) include different levels courses marked out according to difficulties: yellow (easy), orange (quite difficult), blue (difficult), red (very difficult) and black (for the bests).

The most well-known climbing sites are le Cuvier, les Gorges d'Apremont (Barbizon), les Gorges de Franchard (Fontainebleau et Arbonne-la-Foret), les Trois Pignons (Arbonne-la-Foret, Milly-la-Foret, Vaudoué), le Cul de Chien (Noisy-sur-Ecole), the rock of Dame Jouanne et l'Elephant (Larchant).
Our French Cottages are located in the south of Fontainebleau and are used to be the base of many climbers coming from different places.
 

Places to visit around the area

Nemours:- The local museum of the Prehistory. The Château-musée dating 1160 and the Church St-Jean of the XIIth century.
Most hurdy-gurdy tilery of France in service to Treuvy-Levelay.

Souppes-sur-Loing:-  Countries of the "white stone", which were used for the construction of big monuments in Paris like "Sacré-Coeur".
The Abbey cistercian Notre Dame de Cercanceaux founded in 1811.

Fontainebleau:- The Castle of Fontainebleau  was the meeting of  hunting privileged by kings of  France and Napoléon. The National museum of prisons, unique   in France. The Museum of Art and military history,  reconstruction of  Napoleon’s good-byes.

Leisure Activities

Souppes-sur-Loing:- Wildlife park "L'Emprunt" the happiness of the children on 6 hectares.  Karting. Leisure centre, bathing, canoe and the Loing.

Disneyland:- A destination where the dream becomes reality: attractions,  entertainments, parades..... 

Ferrières:-  Castle of the XIXth century with an English-style park, a real arboretum and his museum of the imagination.
