Domaine D'Enteaux formally a working farm of the late 18th Century is situated in the heart of the Medieval Carhare area of the Aude in South West France, making this an ideal place to explore the historic and unspoilt countryside of Langudoc-Rousillon region.
Enteaux is within easy reach of Carcassonne (25 minutes), Toulouse (60 minutes). Both have international airports, with British Airways flying from Gatwick, Air France flying from Heathrow, to Toulouse and Ryanair flying from Stanstead to Carcassonne.

The gites are fully equipped with 2 Bedrooms with convertible sofa.
The Gites are on two floors:- Downstairs is a twin bedroom and the shower and toilet.
Upstairs:- is the kitchen/diner with all the usual facilities and lounge with TV, VCR and access to the mezzanine double bedroom

There is an adequate parking area.
Swimming Pool and Terrace
The large swimming pool is approximately 40 by 20 foot surrounded by
a tiled terrace with a BBQ area. The terrace area benefits from all day sunshine and
provides adequate space for soaking up the sun and sipping long cold drinks,
it's the ideal Suntrap!

Additionally, it provides spectacular views over the rolling countryside nearby and in the distance, million-dollar views of the snow capped Pyrenees.
Around the area
The ancient hilltop village of Fanjeaux, is less than 10 minutes and provides adequate needs of modern life, with general store, Bar, cafe, restaurants, butchers, bakers, chemists, doctors and post office. Slightly further afield, Bram and the picturesque town of Mirepoix lie within 10 minutes driving.
No visit to the area would be complete without a tour around the impressive medieval city of Carcassonne, all 52 towers of it and the location of the epic film 'Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves'. Also the famous Canal du Midi, which links the Atlantic to the Mediterranean is worthy of a days relaxing canal-side walk. Both of these locations have been designated as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO
The area is steeped on history. It was the centre of the Cathare religion and many castles, towns and villages can trace their origins back over 800 years. It is also one of the major wine producing area of France and has numerous well-knownvarieties with Corbiere, Fitou and Malepere to name just a few.
The ware waters of the Mediterranean are just over an hour's drive at the costal resort of Narbonne. Spain and Andora are also within easy driving distances.
For those who require the comfort of 'Retail Therapy', Toulouse, Carcassonne and Narbonne have a wealth of excellent shops, cafes and restaurants. There is also some spectacular and interesting architecture.
