Situated in the Abondance valley of the French Alps, this chalet apartment is ideal for either a winter skiing holiday or a summer alpine holiday.

Chatel is a pretty Swiss style Savoyard village with traditional wooden chalets. In winter it is one of the twelve French/Swiss resorts that form part of the ‘Portes de Soleil’, a huge ski area of 275 lifts and 650 km of family friendly skiing.

Bordering onto Switzerland, the summer attractions are numerous, from alpine hiking and mountain biking, to swimming, fishing, paragliding, thermal bathing and rafting plus lots of children’s activities.

At a height of 1300 metres this new 50 sq. m. chalet apartment is in Petit Chatel, and has views across the whole Abondance Valley. The area is peaceful and has a selection of bars, and shops plus 3 ski hire/sales shops and even boasts 2 petanque pitches. Only 200m to the local Barbossine chair lift. Chatel provides a free bus service both winter and summer.

Chatel is easily accessed by road (Calais - 500 miles) or by air (Geneva) 70 miles.

Accommodation

Superbly positioned and equipped the apartment has a comfortable lounge area. It has a good quality sofa bed, easy chairs and can seat 6 for meals.

Indoor entertainment includes TV + DVD/VHS with over 70 hours of videos, hi-fi and assorted music, games, boules and books and magazines. All the furniture is high quality and selected to maximise the feeling of space.

Bedrooms

There are two comfortable and roomy bedrooms, one with a double bed and the second is twin bedded. Both the lounge and double bedroom lead onto a 27ft sun-facing balcony, furnished and with terrific unrestricted views. The apartment can comfortably sleep a family of 4/5 or 2 couples.

Kitchen

The modern kitchen is fully fitted with usual kitchen equipment including fridge, microwave and traditional oven. There is a full bathroom with bath/shower plus a separate WC.

The apartment, one of four privately owned within the Chalet, has its own garage/ski store.

Also available: travel cot, high chair, pushchair.

Around the area

Try the unique 2000m aerial ‘Fantasticable’. Sophisticated Lake Geneva, (e.g. Evian, Thonon, Montreaux, Lausanne [Olympic Museum], plus Chamonix and Mont Blanc are all within easy reach.

N.B. Let as a self catering unit clients will need to supply sheets, pillowcases and towels.

Prices are for one week for two persons and are inclusive of water and electricity.

There is a £10 utility supplement per extra guest.
