LA BERGERIE *****   A large self-catered stone cottage, the only one in Indre et Loire which has been awarded 5 Stars by the French National Hotel Classification.

Located south of the Loire Valley and just 30 miles south of Tours, between Descartes, birthplace of the famous philosopher, and Sainte Maure de Touraine, town of famous goat cheese, on the road between Sepmes and Marcé Sur Esves; very well located to visit all the castles of the Loire Valley.

We are 3 hours drive from Paris but with the TGV high speed train, from Tours we can reach Paris - Montparnasse within one hour ( most of our customers spent one day in Paris during their stay )

Set in a 1,2 acre landscaped property, close to the owner's home, heated swimming pool, panoramic views over a peaceful valley, fully equipped to accommodate 5 persons, in a beautiful setting, full services. The oasis of the Loire Valley !

Accommodation

La Bergerie:-  (an ancient shepherd's home ) is a typical 15th century Touraine structure of old white stone walls. Accommodates up to 5 adults and is composed of a main level with a large living-dining area with a fireplace, equipped with a convertible sofa and 2 armchairs.

Satellite TV, video recorder, DVD ( new! ) CD player , books, many games ...

An open, fully equipped American- style kitchen , electric oven, vitroceramic cooking range, dishwasher, microwave oven, refrigerator, freezer, dishes and kitchen utensils for 8/10 persons.

A separate bedroom:-  with queen size bed. TV, secured closed fireplace.

A first level with a lovely bedroom:- which overlooks the valley has (3 single beds), TV & video overlooking the valley.

A second staircase that leads to the bathroom:-  Overlooks the valley and has bathtub, separate shower with hydrojets, double wash basins and hairdryer, washing/drying machine. 

The cottage is equipped with a safe,  two fireplaces and a heated swimming pool in summer season.

Car rental possible.

Activities

Swimming in the heated pool overlooking the valley, at no extra charge.( open from mid-May until mid-September ).

Ping-pong, bicycles, swings, indoors and outdoors games, ( rubber rings, air mattress )., books, etc .

For your comfort, we are now equipped with a professional Jacuzzi for your use anytime in your host's home. 

SHIATSU, at home or in the cottage;

Horseback and pony riding, canoe, kayak and tennis are available 5 miles away.

Golf within 45 minutes drive, one of Europe's greatest golf courses.

The Loire Valley has just been classified " world patrimony " by the UNESCO.

We charge our customers 50 Euros cleaning fees on the day of their departure ( to be paid in cash )

We offer a babysitting service for children for 10 Euros per hour.

Weekly prices, from Saturday 4:00 pm to Saturday 10:00 am.

Included in the rental are:-  Dinner and drinks on the evening of your arrival , in our home or on the outdoor terrace ( depending on the weather).

Sheets, bath towels, bath robes, swimming pool towels. Wood for the fireplace, charcoal for the barbecue.

NEW:- For the comfort of our clientele, La Bergerie is now equipped with a high performance baby phone system between the pool, the garden and the children's bedroom.
