The scenic town of Pontivy, has medieval origins and is situated approximately 12kms away - a 15/20 minute drive. Pontivy sits upon the banks of the River Blavet, on the Nantes-Brest canal. The well known Chateau Rohan is set within its limits.

In Pontivy you will find a selection of shops which cater for all your requirements, but there is a supermarket pn the outskirts of Pontivy along with restaurants, bars, bank and post office.  In less than 40 minutes is the coastal town of Lorient, but the famous town of Carnac and Vannes are a bit further. There is also a Tourist Office located in Guemene-sur-Scorff.

Originally a chapel the house has been renovated to its original character.

Accommodation comprises of:-

Ground floor:-  A large entrance hall leads to bedrooms, internal staircase and shower and wc room.

Bedrooms:- There are three bedrooms a double, twin, and bunk-bed room. All rooms are carpeted and are spacious with table lamp for reading.

Bed linen is provided but please bring tea towels and bath towels with you. All rooms have electric heating.

Bathroom:- has shower wc, hand basin heated towel rail and a washing machine.

First Floor:- Spacious open plan lounge and dining area with exposed beams, carpeted with part flooring, sofa, armchair colour tv, video player cd/cassette/radio. Toys and games are provided also.

Kitchen:- fully equipped with fridge, cooker, microwave, table and chairs and electric heating.

The Cottage - Sleeps 4

Ideally based to tour the beautiful surrounding countryside of Brittany, with its historic chateaux, small artisan villages, picturesque buildings, and craft shops. 

Original stone, three bedroom house, with interior beams and stone staircase outside.  The Maison is set in tranquil and peaceful surroundings and has beautiful views over the countryside and woods. Ample car parking space.

Accommodation comprises of:- one bedroom built on a mezzanine area within the grounds. 

Kitchen:- open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge:-  fully equipped with mini-oven, hot plates, washing machine, fridge and electric heating.

Bathroom:- has WC, hand basin shower, electric towel rail and heater.

Mezzanine bedroom:-  this can be reached by the sturdy wooden staircase

Outside

Garden:- The garden is very secluded with many trees and wooded area. There is garden furniture and a barbecue for your use. The owners have a small collection of bikes for hire.

Cycling, Walking, Water sports, and Fishing.

How to get here

We recommend you have the use of a car to explore and for travelling.

Easily reached of sea and airport. Nearest airports is Dinard, Brest and Rennes. The port of St. Malo is around 1 to 2 hours drive, enabling access from Portsmouth and the Channel Islands. Caen port is about 3hrs drive and Cherbourg and Roscoff around 2½hrs.

Prices are in (UK Pounds) and are Per property per week

Changeover day is Saturday.

Additional price information:-  Electricity and water may be extra, in proportion to usage.

There are higher tariff's for Xmas, New Year and Easter.

Prices for 3 or more weeks may be negotiated.
