peace and quiet surrounded by woods and fields only a few hundred yards from Lac
de Bel Air.
Pellan Vihan is Breton for "Little Hill". The property, as the name suggests, is on a little hill.
A quiet walk through the wood to our lake at dusk will give you a good chance of glimpsing wild deer. There are also wild boar in the vicinity, they are rarely seen. Peace and quiet may also be enjoyed on your terrace.
The fields are full of wild flowers, butterflies and wild life abounds and is particularly noticeable in April, May and June. Artists will love the dramatic skies. On clear nights the skies are magic with little light pollution.
The Farmhouse - Sleeps 6
Detached, south facing, stone farmhouse built in two halves in the 16th and
the 17th century. Modernised in 2003/2004 to a high standard, with it's old
world features retained.
Bedroom 1 with ensuite shower - The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed with half tester and has an ensuite shower. There is also plenty of space for a cot if required.
Bedroom 2 - Furnished with 2 full size single beds.
Bedroom 3 - The bedroom is a long and narrow room furnished with 2 single beds.
Bathroom - contains a bath, shower, WC and basin.
Kitchen -Large room furnished and equipped with a double sink,
electric cooker, microwave oven, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. French doors, on
the west side, open onto the terrace.
Dining Area - Furnished with a dining table & chairs. There is plenty of space for items such as coats, boots, and bicycles.
Sitting room - Oak beamed with a massive Breton stone fireplace and
wood burner stove. Sofa bed and arm chairs.
Terrace - Accessible from the kitchen, and furnished with table, chairs and
a BBQ.
The Apartment - Sleeps 4
This first floor apartment has its own entrance approached by stone steps. Modernised in 2003/2004 to a very high standard.
Bedroom:- Furnished with a double bed and the ensuite bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower, WC and basin.
Kitchen Area - Is to one side of the living area, the kitchen is
equipped with a sink, two hotplates, a microwave oven/grill and a refrigerator.
Living area - Furnished with a Sofa bed, armchairs, and a dining table & chairs. Open plan to Kitchen area.
Terrace - Situated at the bottom of the stone steps which lead to the apartment and furnished with table, chairs and a BBQ.
Studio Apartment - Sleeps 2
Ground floor apartment, with it's own entrance from the garden to the east of the stone built building. The apartment was modernised in 2003/2004 to a high standard.
Living Area/Bedroom - Open plan featuring oak beams and an old stone,
Breton fireplace with woodburner stove. Furnished with a single bed with slide
out extra single bed, table, chairs and armchairs.
Kitchen Area - with sink, two hotplates, microwave oven/grill and refrigerator.
Shower Room - with WC and basin.
Linen, logs for woodburner (if required) and access to laundry room (washing machine and drier) are all included.
Activities
Swimming in our lake and country walks. Mountain bikes and kayaks may be hired for use locally. At Lac de Bel Air there is a fenced off swimming area, tennis court and pedalos for hire. Advice on fishing on local rivers (Carp, Pike, etc) and permits are available from bar "Au Pied St Barbe" by the River Elle near La Faouet.
About the area
Priziac (2 miles away) has several restaurants and bars, and a small store selling delicious, fresh, local bread and pastries, amongst it's goods. Le Fouet (4 miles away) has many restaurants, convienience shops and a supermarket. The 15th century covered market is open 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month. Other towns such as Pontivy, Quimperle and Lorient are all worth a visit and are within an hour's drive as are many coastal beaches and fishing ports.

Lettings are from Saturday 4pm to Saturday 10am.
