Les Prinquières set in 8 acres of tranquil countryside yet still very close to all the major tourist attractions & activities in the region, is a collection of 19th century farm buildings surrounded by its own woodland. You can wander through at your leisure, perhaps to collect chestnuts or walnuts, which are in abundance when in season. There are grassed areas with many fruit trees, including peach, nectarine, fig and cherry to name a few, which guests are welcome to sample, and a small fishing lake where Kingfishers can frequently be seen.

There is a 10 x 5 metre floodlit pool with terraces to lounge in the summer sun, a pool house with fridge and covered dining area, complete with traditional Bar B Que . Plenty of sun beds, chairs and parasols are provided for your comfort.

In the shade of the trees, there is a traditional Boules court with lighting to play in the long summer evenings whilst Badminton and Table tennis are also available.

Each gite is comfortably furnished and has a fully equipped kitchen with full gas cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher (not Le Four à Pain) and washing machine. Bed linen is provided and changed weekly. Outside each gite is a private terrace with gas Bar B Que and table and chairs, sorry no pets.

Weekly barbeques are organised by the pool with wine and salad provided, for any guests wishing to join in.

La Four Á Pain is one of 4 gites  it is set apart from the other 3 and is therefore more secluded and private, nestling on the edge of a small woodland yet not enclosed, it has it’s own patio with table and chairs, outside lighting and a gas Bar B Que .

Housed in this Petite Maison, Le Four, has an ancient bakers oven which has been restored as a feature. Accommodation has been designed for couples and is on one level. It has a comfortably furnished room with a double bed, a settee and ample cupboard and drawers for your clothes and possessions. There is an en-suite shower room complete with basin and W.C. There is also a small wood burning fire for low season rentals.

The kitchen/diner has a full cooker, washing machine, a fridge with separate freezer compartment, microwave, coffee-maker, iron and ironing board, the dining area has French doors leading out onto the secluded patio.

"La Châtaigne which sleeps 2-3 people, is part of an ancient barn, which has been sympathetically restored" to form 3 individual holiday gites, whilst retaining many original features and has been tastefully decorated.

At the rear of La Châtaigne there is a private patio area complete with gas Bar B Que and table and chairs for those warm summer evenings, whilst watching the sunset and sampling the local wines. The patio looks out onto a large grassed area and woodland, with a small lake to the right of the barn, whilst the front of the property overlooks a meadow.

La Châtaigne has a fully fitted kitchen complete with washing machine, full cooker, microwave, coffee maker,  fridge/freezer, iron and ironing board.. There is plenty of pretty crockery and glasses, in fact everything you will need for your holiday catering. The lounge, which is comfortably furnished, has a dining area and a wood burner for the cooler winter evenings.  Doors from the lounge lead onto the patio area. Stairs from the kitchen lead to a spacious double-bedded room, fully furnished with an en-suite shower and W.C.  The bedroom could easily accommodate a child’s bed or cot, with the possibility of an additional sleeping area in the lounge. Pretty bed linen is provided and changed weekly. La Châtaigne comes with a radio/cassette/CD player and a selection of books.

  

La Pêche at Les Prinquières - Sleeps 3/4

La Pêche which sleeps 3/4 is part of an ancient barn, which has been sympathetically restored to form 3 individual gites, whilst retaining many original features and has been tastefully decorated.

La Peche, which is the middle gite and slightly larger than the other 2, there is a private patio area complete with gas Bar B Que  and table and chairs for those warm summer evenings, whilst watching the sunset and sampling the local wines. The patio looks out onto a large grassed area and woodland, with a small lake to the right of the barn, whilst the front of the property over looks a meadow.

La Peche has a fully fitted kitchen/diner complete with washing machine, dishwasher, full cooker, microwave, coffee maker, fridge/freezer, iron and ironing board. There is plenty of pretty crockery and glasses, in fact everything you will need for your holiday catering. Doors at the rear of the kitchen/diner lead out to the patio area. The lounge, which is comfortably furnished, has stairs up to a spacious 5ft bedded room, fully furnished with ample wardrobes and drawer space, there is also a single bed, an en-suite  shower room with wc. Pretty bed linen is provided and changed weekly. La Pechee has the possibility of an additional sleeping area in the lounge. La Peche comes with a radio/cassette/CD player and a selection of books.

La Noyer at Les Prinquières - Sleeps 2

La Noyer is part of an ancient barn, which has been sympathetically restored to form 3 gites, whilst retaining many original features and has been tastefully decorated.

At the rear of La Noyer there is a private patio area complete with gas barbeque and table and chairs for those warm summer evenings, whilst watching the sunset and sampling the local wines. The patio looks out onto a large grassed area and woodland, with a small lake to the right of the barn, whilst the front of the property over looks a meadow.

La Noyer has a fully fitted kitchen complete with washing machine, full cooker, microwave, coffee maker, fridge/freezer, iron and ironing board. There is plenty of pretty crockery and glasses, in fact everything you will need for your holiday catering. The kitchen/diner has doors which lead to the patio area. Stairs lead up from the lounge, which is comfortably furnished to a spacious double-bedded room, fully furnished with an en-suite shower room and w.c. Pretty bed linen is provided and changed weekly. La Noyer sleeps 2 persons, it comes with a radio/cassette/CD player and a selection of books.

Les Prinquières is situated in a rural location approximately 6 km. beyond the ‘Cité Médiévale’ of Gourdon, capital of the Bouriane in the region of Quercy and is 3.5km from the Dordogne border, with the Dordogne River being just 5.5km away.

St.Cirq-Lapopie perched high above the Lot, thought to be one of France’s prettiest villages with its 15th century church and timber houses built into the cliffs.

Take a boat trip through the ‘Vallee of the Dordogne’, cycle or kayac to see the picturesque riverside hamlets.

Les Prinquières is easily reached by road, (the Souillac exit of the A20 motorway being approximately 10 miles away), or by air to Rodez airport which is 1hour 40mins away, and is a drive through some breathtaking countryside, or Limoges airport, (approx 1hr 30 mins), & Toulouse (approx 1hr 30 mins.)
