The Farmhouse "La Casa del Pintor" is situated in Arona town, in the south of Tenerife, a magical space at 600 meters of altitude, there are five country houses surrounded by gardens, native plants, cactus, vines and fruit trees.

We are fifteen minutes from the beaches of Las Americas , Los Cristianos and the pine trees of Mount Teide, and also from the Reina Sofia airport.

In the main house, lives, the artist Carlo Forte.  This calm place, ideal for unforgettable vacations, and where you can also participate in sessions of Intuitive Painting, Cromopuntura, Breathing Therapy, Holistic Massage, Yoga Cranio-Sacral and Dolphin Healing.

Accommoation

The Yellow House:- has a double bed, a kitchen and a bathroom. Outside is a characteristic “gazebo”, covered with various climbing plants and their white flowers. It is in the centre of a garden with palm, mango and papaya trees. Tariff:- 60 €/day

The Patio House:-  has two rooms with two beds in each room, a kitchen and a bathroom. On the patio outside there is a stone oven and items of typical traditional island life.  A red bougainvillea pergola offers pleasant shade in hot days of summer. Tariff:- 80 €/day

The Stone House:-  room with has double bed, kitchen, and external bath. It is an old building that has been restored and has a wooden and tiled roof. A pergola of white and black grapes, an olive tree, roses and hibiscus flowers decorate the outside. Tariff:- 60 €/day

The Dragon House:- has a romantic fireplace, a double bed, a kitchen and a bathroom. It is furnished with elegant, antique furniture. Outside are abundant local plants, an orchard and a pergola. Tariff:- 70 €/day

Activities around the area

Direct contact with nature is the best introduction for any outdoor activity. Trips to the mountains, and bathing in the clear waters of the Atlantic are part of our daily “vices”.  In the vicinity horse rides, mountain bike rides and visits to dolphins and whales in the ocean are organised.

Local restaurants:- offering Canary cuisine rich in seafood dishes, salads, cheeses and local wines of excellent quality.

Information

Carlo Forte was born in Italy, graduating in Political science from Pavia University. He worked as an economist in public corporations and private companies. He also studied art in Milan. In 1976 he arrived in Tenerife, fell in love with the island and has never left. In the beginning he drew and painted portraits and landscapes of the Canaries; these where forerunners to colourful and luminous paintings with greater intimacy and spirituality. “The landscapes of the spirit” fill their canvases with joy and intensity; a style of painting that can be said to be “intuitive”, far from concrete or intellectual forms -simply something that “happens” from a silent space of meditation. Carlo exhibits in various galleries and museums in Europe, the U.S.A. and Latin America, and more frequently on the island. Since last year he has been based in his rural house where he finds the ideal environment for a permanent exhibition of his works, stirring up great interest and admiration among his guests.

At the centre of this rural tourist village there is an unusual pentagonal building of stone and wood where one can participate in creative and meditative activities, and have individual or group sessions.One can paint and have lessons in “intuitive painting”, whose aim is not the teaching of techniques, but rather assisting the individual to discover their unique inner creativity, and from there play, enjoy and surprise themselves with colours. Colour, when used to express oneself on canvas, can have a significant therapeutic effect. In this “agriturismo” (farmhouse holidays), where all is light and colour, Peter Mandel’s Chromopuncture is practised as a healing technique to re-establish inner balance. There are also opportunities to receive individual sessions of Breathing Therapy, Holistic Massage, Reflexology, Yoga, Metamorphic Massage, Cranio-Sacral and Dolphin-Healing.
