Conveniently located on the edge of the historical sea side village of Maleme, Summer Lodge, an attractive, family run vacation lodging is a fine example of traditional Greek architecture.

Just 5 Kms from the centre of Platanias and 16 Kms west of Hania town, makes this the ideal starting point for visitors who require a wide variety of sandy beaches, water sport activities, peaceful countryside walks, or interesting visits in archaeological and historical sites.

With the great advantage of being no more than 400 meters by footpath to the long, quiet beach of Maleme which is mostly sandy, but also pebbly, and a number of nearby tavernas as well as a supermarket, the situation couldn't be more convenient. Car hire, although useful, is not essential.

Accommodation

Beautifully set around a pretty flower filled courtyard and orange grove, our house has a total of 17 well furnished and nicely decorated rooms.

Rooms:- All have ensuite shower rooms, wc and wash hand basin and are equipped with fridge, cooling fan and safe box.

Most of the rooms have private balconies or open terraces whilst others on the ground floor, that face onto the gardens, have a patio area and are particularly cool in the heat of the summer

Swimming Pool:- The superb 10m x 5m pool is surrounded by sun terraces and is supplied with patio furniture and sun lounges.

Terrace:- Beyond the swimming pool and shaded feathery willow trees, there is a pretty terrace where breakfast is served at any time you please. There is a small bar serving cool drinks in the hot summer evenings.

Please note:-  Rooms are usually available for check-in after 14:00 on the arrival day. Therefore we advise that in case you arrive earlier and wish your room to be available upon your arrival, to book your accommodation from the previous night at the relative charge. Check-out time is 12:00 noon
