Casa Luisa is an old attached farmstead property, which has been recently renovated to provide superb holiday accommodation for between 2 - 8 people.

Casa Luisa is situated in the heart of Italy in Tuscany, located between Siena and Cortona near to the scenic historic village of Lucignano.  

The house is built of stone and brick and is surrounded by garden and has been standing in part for over 200 years on 4 acres of land. The house is situated about 30 minutes walk from the historic village of Lucignano or a few minutes by car. Florence airport is about 1 hours drive and Rome, Pisa and Bologna airport about 2 hours drive from the house. The house is 10 minutes drive from the main A1 autostrada.

Whether it be relaxation or cultural exploration, Casa Luisa provides a beautiful, scenic, Italian experience and is only a short distance from the historic landmarks of Siena, Cortona, Perugia, Pienza, Assisi, Arezzo, Montalcino, Montepulciano, lake Trasimeno and Mount Olivetto.     

Accommodation

Casa Luisa has a luxury swimming pool, nestled in a sylvan setting overlooking rolling Tuscan hills and enjoying wonderful views across the Valdichiana valley and countryside. A short gravel roadway connects the farmstead property to the road between Lucignano and Sinalunga.

The house is fully equipped for family life and can be rented by 2 small families or a single family with several children.  

The house is arranged on 3 levels, (although the ground floor is used for storage only). The house can accommodate 6-8 people.  

Facilities include: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, Main living area and Kitchen. The swimming pool is available from May/June onwards each year.

Please note the kitchen and bathrooms have been fitted with new, modern and up to date appliances and fittings

Ground floor :- At the ground floor level there are some old stables, a wine cellar along with a utility which houses the fridge freezer, washing machine, central heating system.

First Floor :- The first floor comprises a small sitting area and main entrance leading into a kitchen/ dining room, which leads into the main living area with open fireplace. For family’s requiring extra beds there are 2 pull out sofas in the main living room. Just off the dining room area is a small shower room and toilet. Kitchen comprises all modern built in appliances including dishwasher, fridge, full oven and hob.    

Up a small flight of stairs leads to the main bathroom including bath, shower, 2 x basins and bedroom 1 – (Bunk Beds)/(Double Room)  

Second Floor :- The second floor comprises bedroom 2 (double room) with stunning views and bedroom 3 (double room with air conditioning) with stunning views across the Valdichiana valley.   

The Grounds

There are approximately 3-4 acres of private grounds that are partly lawn near the house with some small flower beds and nut trees also surrounding the house. At the edge of the garden is a large swimming pool (12m x 6m) surrounded by roman terracing and stone. Further away from the house the land rolls away into the valley where there is a selection of fruit trees, bushes and great views.

Around the area

Lucignano is a historic walled citadel with a wealth of Italian history and structures. In the evenings the town comes to life with various inexpensive restaurants and osterias catering for every taste. The centre of the town acts as a centre point for the local villagers to conduct their more leisurely pursuits of talking, walking and taking coffee. The same relaxing approach can be found in the working town of Sinalunga, where again there are a selection of inexpensive restaurants each vying to provide an excellent selection of Tuscan foods and evening boules with the locals is always worth a look.

The Piazza at Sinalunga houses a travelling market every Tuesday which is ideal for shopping, and at which they sell whole roasted pigs, fresh fish, vegetables, leather goods, clothing, shoes … etc. There are several evening festivals held in the Piazza and nearby villages all through the summer as well as classical historic events and art manifestations taking place in the main town. Shopping is easy with a nearby large supermarket and if you feel like it, Sinalunga has sheltered and open tennis courts. There are also lovely pools in the neighbouring village and access to the local hotel pools. There is also the Crocodile Aqua Park 20 minutes drive away and various discotheques.           

Slightly further away, for day visits, are the historic cities of Florence and Rome, San Geminiano and Grosetto on the coast.  

There are many different places to visit on your stay, far too many to mention, but the house is ideally situated for making daily driving trips to explore the many beautiful towns.

Visit the historical and cultural sights of Florence, Siena and Rome.

Enjoy eating out at local Italian restaurants.

Day trips to one of the many Italian beach resorts.

Have a session in one of the spas.

The price of the rental accommodation includes:-  Rental of the property, not per person.

Prices dependent on season, low, mid and high. High season includes the use of the swimming pool.

Number of people must not exceed the stated maximum made at the time of the booking. The price includes electricity, heating (in low and mid season) for reasonable consumption. However if there is excessive consumption, we reserve the right to make a supplementary charge. (greater than £10 per week) 

The use of the air conditioning is by special arrangement.    

Water is obviously included in the above price, but please use the water sparingly as the water is metered for consumption.

Linen, covers, sheets etc are provided clean at the commencement of your stay and are changed at the end of the week. 

Deposit of 25% on booking with remainder payable 8 weeks prior to commencement of holiday start date. Once full payment is received a holiday pack and travel details will be provided.
