Mulino dell'Abate a former flour mill is
situated in the heart of Chianti and has recently been restored respecting the
ancient structure.
Accommodation
There are seven apartments sleeping 2 persons. The apartments have been restructured conserving the original features, with
beamed ceilings. The furnishing has been cured choosing furniture's of the past.
All the apartments are:-
independent, with kitchen, and bath. Each apartment has a satellite-TV and an
Hi-FI stereo system.
For 4 persons it is possible to rent with two apartments GORA1 and GORA2,
because they have a communicating door.
Every apartment has a private garden or veranda, with table and chairs
where you can simply relax. There is space for parking your car in the grounds
of the property.
NOT every apartment has got fireplace:- only the apartments GORA, TINAIA and
FIENILE have fireplace.
We offer for free the wood for lighting the FIRST fire in the fireplace, then
the guests have to buy it for further fires.
Facilities

the outside barbecue, supplied of table and chairs (excluded fine coal and

Firewood for fireplace or stews (cost: 6 Euro for one hamper of
large woods from 20 kg; 6 Euro for one hamper of tronchetti for the starter from
15 kg) - Heating GPL (cost to consumption: 4 Euro to the cubic meter) -
Chartering mountain-bikes (cost: 10 Euro to the day) - Fine coal and liquid for
the ignition of the fire of the barbecue: 4 Euro - extra Change upon request of
the bed linen: 15 Euro - extra Change upon request of the linen from bath: 10
Euro - Chartering burlaps for the swimming pool: 5 Euro everyone Upon request is
carried out service first breakfast and lunches or suppers.
Flour mill of Abbot:- is the most ancient and more important of the flour
mills of the area of the Chianti and maintains tutt' the original
characteristics today. They are visible traces of medieval structures, with the structures
of the original building (walls and arch
constructed with the ancient technique to rough drafts of filaretto chiseled
of alberese); "picked" in which it came channelled with the water of the river.
Hung in the periods of lean, for the operation of the two flour mills, the
grain and the forages. It can be seen a beautiful portal
Tardo-Rinascimentale, one niche in terracotta of the ' 500 and the room of
the flour mill, today used after small museum. The Flour mill, encircled
from the nature, is found in proximity of the forest and just a few meters
from the Hung river, but at the same time it is close to the center
inhabited (approximately 1 km), raggiungibile on foot or in car. E' situated
to 20 km from Florence and 35 km from Siena, optimal zone for every day
visits to all the beautiful cities of art of the Tuscany.

Freeway of the sun A1 Milan-Rome exited Florence Certosa Proseguire to right
on the Florence-Siena Superhighway After 16 km to exit to TAVARNELLE Val di
Pesa To turn to right and to follow the indications for SAMBUCA After 3 km
arrives to you in the country of Sambuca to cross the Romanesque bridge, to
take the first right road that costeggia the Hung river. After 1,5 km you
are arrives you to the Flour mill of Abbot.
