Ann and Richard Prosser welcome you to their beautifully converted luxury accommodation located deep in the heart of the beautiful Warwickshire countryside. 

Situated in beautiful peaceful surroundings, and only 20 minutes drive to the centre of Birmingham, N.E.C. or Lichfield and less than 10 minutes from J9 or J10 of the M42/A5.  Stratford and Warwick are 45 minutes by car.  Convenient for: Ironbridge, Midland Motor Museum, and Calke Abbey.

  

Brooke Cottage      Large ground floor apartment. Sleeps 4 + 1

Bedrooms:-  2 bedrooms, 1 double (5ft), 1 twin, both furnished and decorated to a good standard.

Kitchen:- Brooke has a lovely large kitchen with flagged floor.  Plenty of room to seat 6 round the dining table and fully equipped including an electric cooker, microwave, fridge with ice box, and dishwasher. 

Living room:- In the living room together with sofa and chairs there is a futon which makes a comfortable extra bed and TV/VCR.  Full length windows in the bedrooms and French windows in the living room which open straight out into the garden make this a lovely, light and comfortable cottage to stay in.  All on the level it is ideal for those slightly unsteady on their feet.

Eliot Cottage   First floor apartment over Brooke.

 

Bedrooms:-  1 double (5ft), 1 twin, both decorated to a good standard.  The bath has a shower overhead and a hair dryer is provided.

 

Eliot is upstairs, above Brooke. The views are typical of  Warwickshire's rolling farmland.

 

Living room:- large spacious living room running the width of the building with TV/VCR and lots of room for an extra person sleeping on the futon if needed.

 

Kitchen:-  is fully fitted & includes cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, deep freezer, caffetiere and magimix.

 

Bramley Cottage  Bramley has 3 bedrooms all en suite,  Bramley is the original cottage to the farmhouse.    

It has now been rebuilt, extended and completely re-furnished, making it a lovely warm and comfortable house for 6/7.

Kitchen:- On the right is the kitchen, equipped for 10 and complete with dishwasher, washing m/c and dryer.  It also has a fridge/freezer, microwave and large electric cooker.

Sitting room:-  has a T.V., Video, C.D. player and very comfortable, squashy sofas and chairs.  French windows open out onto the patio with garden furniture.

Dining room:-  is viewed through the hatch from the kitchen.

Bedrooms:- the  twin bed rooms have their  own TV. There is another twin bedroom and in the third bedroom there is a 5ft double bed and a single bed.  All the bedrooms have a radio and hair dryer and an en suite bathroom.

Wainwright Cottage           Single storey stone cottage. Suitable for a wheelchair.   Kitchen/living room, equipped for 4. 1 large bedroom (twin beds)

 

 

Mr. Wainwright farmed Hipsley before us and he was delighted when we named this cottage after him. 

It is single storey, suitable for a wheelchair with a ramp access, extra wide doors and suitably sited light fittings etc. Bedroom is large with twin beds, radio and hair dryer. 

There is a large w.c. and basin and we have a suitable seat for the separate shower. 

 

 

Dugdale and Drayton Cottage         Dugdale left / Drayton right

 

Dugdale's:-  double bedroom with its original beams. This is such a lovely, cosy, romantic bedroom. Beautifully decorated and furnished throughout.

Drayton:-   Decorated and furnsihed to a good standard and has roof beams, but with twin beds.

Behind the breakfast bar is a fully fitted kitchen with cooker, microwave, fridge and plenty of pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. Both cottages have power showers, hair dryer, TV/VCR and C.D. player.

We are on the Heart of England Way and very close to Centenary Way - both lovely walks. Midland Motor Museum, and Calke Abbey. Craft centres at Hoar Park and Middleton Hall, National Exhibition Centre - Tamworth,, Castle Shackerstone  Railway Drayton, Manor Park, Twycross ZooBosworth, Battlefield Lichfield, Cathedral Chatsworth, Conkers at the National Forest Broomey , and  Croft Childrens Farm.

 

Local towns - Atherstone, Tamworth, Coleshill, Nuneaton.

Directions

 

From A5 West of Atherstone Turn left at the island onto the B4116 to Baxterley (Merevale Lane.  At the T junction 1.2 miles further on, turn left, immediate right and right again at the next T junction.  Follow the signs for Church through Baxterley for 1.7 miles.  Turn left in front of the Church to Hurley  (Hipsley Lane). The cottages are 0.8 miles on the right.

From A5/M42 Junction 10 Take the road to Freasley and Kingsbury for 1.3 miles, pass Planters Garden Centre on the left. Turn left for Wood End. Continue for 1.3 miles through the village.  Turn left for Atherstone. 0.8 miles further on turn right towards Hurley (Hipsley Lane). The cottages are 0.8 miles on the right.

From M42 Junction 9 Take the A4097 signposted to Kingsbury. Continue over first island. Turn right at next island onto B4098. Take first left to Hurley, continue through the village then turn left (opposite Hurley Hall) towards Wood End.  The cottages are 0.5 miles on the left.

All heating, electricity and use of the laundry facilities are included in the price.      Bed linen, bath, hand and face towels and tea towels are also included. 

Well behaved pets are welcome for a charge of £10.00 each per week.  Please do not leave pets unattended in or around the cottages.
