The Chapel Holiday Home

The Chapel and our cottage holiday homes are ideal for a wonderful holiday surrounded by countryside and scenery. Both the chapel and cottage are fully furnished and designed to make you feel at home, whatever the season.

The former Stoke St Milborough Primitive Methodist Chapel was erected in 1842. Services Ceased in 1972. It is a listed building and has been converted into a self-catering luxury holiday home.

The Chapel - sleeps 4

The Chapel has been converted to a very high standard. With Oak Beam Ceilings, Floors, Stairs, and Ballast Rail.

Bedrooms: consists of two double bedrooms (1 Twin 1 Double) 1 with a galleried front.

Kitchen:- A well equipped Kitchen. Complete with work top, units. Plenty of storage places. Washing Machine, Tumble Dryer,  Fridge Freezer, Dish Washer, Microwave, Fan Electric Cooker, Kettle, Iron, Ironing Board, Toaster and all cooking utensils, Saucepans etc.

The Chapel Holiday Home. The Lounge

Lounge /Dining Room:- The Lounge /Dining Room is open plan, beautifully furnished complete with Oak Floors and Rugs. A log effect Gas Stove in a stone fireplace. (Gas Free) Storage Heaters. Settees/ Dining Table. etc. + TV /Video / DVD Radio Cassette System.

Outside amenities:- These are for the sole use of St Milburga Chapel clients.These will include steps leading up to a large decking area complete with a 10/6 ft secure summerhouse equipped with electricity and gas heater, director chairs and table (ideal for taking in the views) and a dual use as a drying room. Garden table & chairs & sun umbrella and an arbour area. A gas BBQ (gas supplied free). Ample parking space.

Optional Extras:-  We will provide guided tours, which will include historic guided walks. The pace is gentle helping you to appreciate these special characteristics of this unique and fascinating area. The fun nights ie; 5 miles walk to the Boyne Arms for dinner & drinks. Return by Boyne Taxi. Breakfast on the Brown Clee – freshly cooked bacon & egg butty A 3 to 4 hour walk to the top of the Brown Clee (to view the ponies) onwards to five springs, a chance to view the memorial dedicated to the air Crews of both Allied and Germans tragically lost during the 1939 - 1945 conflict. Through to Cockshuttford and on to the pretty Village of Clee St Margaret, up Burnt House Bank to Stoke St Milborough. (Only for the very fit)

Cherry Tree Cottage. Sleeps 8

Cherry Tree Cottage has been furnished to a very high standard with every thought of your comfort and enjoyment in mind. We are sorry to say that it is not suitable for the infirm.

Bedrooms:- The Cottage sleeps 8 comfortably with 3 well-appointed double bedrooms. With views of the Church and the Clee Hills. The 4th bedroom has an adult size bunk bed. The house also has a large bathroom with bath and shower.

 Main Lounge:-  is beautifully furnished. Sky Plus TV and music centre log burner (logs supplied free). Patio Doors leading onto large lawn with summer house c/w conservatory furniture, deck chairs, directors chairs, gas heater, Large decking area, c/w gazebo,  garden furniture and gas b-bq and gas heater (gas foc) and small cosy arbour area.

Second Lounge:-  or a more adept name ‘cosy snug’ is well furnished and has sky TV and log burner. Dining room comfortably sits 8. Small colour TV

Utility room:-  has WC, BBQ kitchen c/w electric cooker, gas hob, microwave, kettle toaster , kitchen utensils and BBQ cutlery & plates. Fridge & Freezer (an extra fridge can be supplied if needed) Tumble Dryer & Washing Machine plus Rotary Clothes Line

Kitchen:-  well equipped, dishwasher, sink with special pure water filter (no need for bottled water) Cooker microwave, fridge toaster kettle etc.

Downstairs WC:-  washbasin and walk-in shower.

Outside:- The cottage backs onto a large and picturesque garden with ample lawn and patio area. There is garden furniture and sun umbrellas provided.
