We are located in a hidden valley with fine views over the Vale of Scamblesby
and Belchford Valleys.
Whether you are hiking, fishing, or bird watching, self-catering on a farm can

Shire Horse Barn - Sleeps 6
A stunning barn conversion, restored beams, high ceilings, spacious rooms and large open fireplace in open brickwork. Three bedrooms, one king size master bedroom with en-suite, one bunk bedded room for children and the third has two double beds for extra comfort. Second bathroom, open plan kitchen/dining room and lounge.
Bluebell Cottage - Sleeps
2-4
This is a lovely light and spacious cottage with its high ash-panelled ceiling, pine furniture and wooden floors, facing south over the stunning views of Belchford valley. One bedroom twin-bedded, double sofa bed, lounge/dining room, fully fitted kitchen and bathroom. This is a pet friendly cottage for those who bring a family.
Viking Cottage - Sleeps 2
The oak panelling and hard wood furniture gives this cottage a traditional warm and cosy feel. It has one large king size double bedroom, fully fitted kitchen and bathroom. The view from this cottage is also south facing and looks over the fishing lakes and wild flower meadows.
The Granary - Sleeps 6
Beautifully converted two story cottage, full of character, oak staircase and first floor lounge with panoramic views of the Lincolnshire Wolds with the comfort of an open fire. Three bedrooms, king size master bedroom with en-suite, large twin-bedded bedroom; the third bedroom is also twin-bedded. Fully fitted kitchen next to the dining room and second. bathroom.
Betty Huttons Cottage - Sleeps 2-4
This cottage has been carefully converted with the needs of the mobility impaired in mind. Its spacious rooms and wide doors allow easy access for wheelchairs. This is a charming cottage furnished with pine furniture and decorated to the style of an old English cottage. One bedroom king size, double sofa bed, substantial lounge/dining area, fully fitted kitchen.
Juice Trump Cottage - Sleeps 2-4
Charming two-bedroom cottage, king size double and a sofa bed in the lounge, bathroom, fully fitted kitchen/dining area. Furnished to a high standard and looks over the courtyard to the South with easy access to its patio next to the well.
Little Walk Cottage - Sleeps 4 + please note: This cottage is not on Flintwood Farm
Location: 10 miles west of Grimsby, 12 miles north-west of Louth, 27 miles north-east of Lincoln, 20 minutes to M180.
Features for all units (apart from Little Walk cottage)
Linen & towels provided, inclusive Electricity & Oil. Colour TV & video. Washing machine/dryer dishwasher. Dog kennels available on request (for large dogs), small house dogs only at the Shire Horse Barn and Bluebell, but not in the carpeted rooms. Baby sitting service. Use of bicycles and fishing rods, ample parking, ready cooked meals on arrival if requested. Poachers welcome pack on arrival. Please note: we operate a no smoking policy.
Our meeting/function room is available all year round including Christmas & New Year.
The room seats 20/26 people, and can be used for
business meeting, conferences, lectures, prize giving, weddings, parties,
anniversaries, christenings, birthdays, club meetings, etc.
Accommodation is also available for a maximum of 26 people, with the following facilities:
large six person Hot tub/Jacuzzi, ten person Sauna with separate changing
rooms/shower, boot/drying room.
The patio area has uninterrupted views over the countryside and is suitable for
a marquee.
Catering is provided at rates to be agreed. Please note that the resident owners
are on site to tend to your immediate needs.
About the area
Enjoy walking on the miles of interconnecting routes that meander round the undulating hills and valleys of Flintwood Farm. Continue walking on the Viking Way, which opens up many more beautiful areas of Lincolnshire and joins the farm. Enjoy fishing on our Trout, Coarse and Carp lakes open to residents only.

Explore our 170 Acres of private woodland, wildflower
pastures, natural hedgerows and water meadows.
Numerous public footpaths nearby, including one of Country Walking Magazine's
listed "100 Favourite Walks Down Your Way " featuring footpaths actually on
Flintwood Farm and nearby surrounding countryside. Also direct access onto
Heritage Horse Trail with the bridleway passing through the farmyard, horses can
be stabled or allowed to graze in nearby pasture whilst riders relax at Poachers
Hideaway.
The farm has Ancient woodlands, wildflower meadows, lakes and Sandstone outcrops
with an abundance of fossils. You approach Flintwood Farm up a Roman salt road
with villa site, terracing, and Neolithic burial mound.
Stone age tools can be found in most fields. The farm
provided working horses for the First World War and was a training ground for
the Home Guard in the Second World War. There are miles of private walks and you
can picnic and bar-b-que within the grounds. We also provide fishing rods for
carp and trout fishing (catch & return) in our 3 trout lakes and river.
Discover the poet Lord Tennyson's hidden spots of Lincolnshire by car, bicycle
or even on horseback. We have uninterrupted views for over 30 miles, Ideally
positioned for the coast and the market towns of Horncastle and Louth. The city
of Lincoln is within easy reach (40 min away). Cadwell park racing circuit is
only 4 miles away.
