This charming and attractive cottage is in the heart of picturesque Orford with historic castle, river walks golf courses and concert hall nearby.
It is situated only a short distance from the village centre
in a peaceful residential road. Vesta Cottage is five minute walk from the quay
and the castle.
The cottage abuts part of the remains of the medieval priory.
This semi-detached cottage provides comfortable accommodation for up to four people plus a baby.

The ground floor has a large hallway.
Living/Dining Room
The living and dining area is comfortably furnished with an open fire for those chilly evenings.
Kitchen
The cottage has a fully fitted pleasant kitchen equipped with
household amenities include electric and solid fuel heating, an electric cooker,
fridge/freezer, slim line dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave,
small colour TV and video, telephone (for incoming calls only) and ample kitchen
equipment, including food processor. Tea cloths are provided.

Bedrooms
Bedroom 1
Master bedroom is pleasantly furnished with a large double bed.
Bedroom 2
The bedroom has bunk beds. The bottom bed 4' wide and the top bed is 3' wide.
There is also a child's cot, high chair and stair gate. The owners provide duvets and pillows, electric blanket, bed linen, extra blankets and towels.
Bathroom
The bathroom has a shower over the bath, wash-hand basin and WC.
Garden
There is a small and enclosed garden area with a barbeque and outside furniture.
Parking
Parking is off road with room for one car (or boat).
A lockable shed is available for storing bicycles.
Babysitters can normally be arranged.
The owners usually can organise professional dinghy sailing and powerboat tuition.
It is regretted that smoking and pets are not permitted inside Vesta Cottage.
About Orford
Orford village is situated by the River Ore, where you can see the sea across the shingle spit of Orfordness. It is a haven for boats and yachts as well as a fine church, Norman castle, small museum, two pubs, a hotel, village shops (including general store/post office, antiques and crafts), a garage which can hire bicycles, and the well known fish restaurant, the Butley Orford Oysterage.
Havergate Island (Avocet Island) is a reserve owned by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, and the National Trust's Orfordness and are both only a short distance by ferry.
In the area there is sailing, fishing, walking, ornithology, golf, available.
Snape Maltings Concert Hall, which is home of the Aldeburgh Festival, and and the August Proms, is 10 minutes drive away and Aldeburgh itself is 25 minutes drive away.
A deposit required of 50% of the rental price payable with booking. Balance due one month before arrival.
Electricity is included in the rental for the months of May to September inclusive, but is charged extra, together with a contribution for solid fuel (coal and wood for the open fire) for the remaining months of the year.
Bed linen, towels and tea towels are all included.
