Glenthurston is a pair of neighbouring detached Victorian houses that have been sensitively converted into self catering apartments full of character and a friendly atmosphere for holiday makers. 

Ideally situated to offer tourists easy access to central London's major sites, Greenwich and the Kent countryside is also accessible. We have 2 main line stations within a 5 minute walk, a 20 minute ride takes you to Charing Cross in the heart of London's West End. Trains run every 20 minutes throughout the day.

Accommodation

Each apartment has been converted to complement and enhance its environment with excellent decor and furnished to a high standard. Telephones and internet access to all apartments. All bed linen and towels are provided. Apartments are centrally heated. We offer the best modern amenities on site - heated indoor pool, sauna and steam room.

We have plenty or room for cars to park on our drive.

There is a large garden with lawn and patio areas complete with furniture and for the children a variety of outdoor game equipment and swings. There is a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers.

On arrival you will find a comprehensive folder giving all the information you may need regarding Glenthurston and the local area. Also maps and timetables are provided for your use.

As owners we live on-site and are available to help with any queries during your stay

14 Apartments  1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8 Persons on the Ground Floor,  First Floor and Second Floor.

Apartment A:- 4 Bedrooms - Sleeps Max 8  having 4 good sized bedrooms, 1 x 4'6" double bedded room with en-suite shower room and 3 bedrooms with twin beds

The welcoming spacious open plan lounge/kitchen:-  is the star attraction of this apartment with wood parquet flooring, a high vaulted ceiling and patio doors opening onto the with garden.

The kitchen:-  is fully fitted and equipped including a dishwasher and microwave. There is ample space for the large circular pine table and chairs, the lounge area comfortably furnished with corner sofa plus occasional furniture and TV.

The double bedroom:- is spacious with room for cot if needed.

The twin bedrooms:-  are comfortably furnished with chest of drawers and wardrobe or hanging rail

The family bathroom:-  has a bath with shower over, basin and toilet. The en-suite bathroom has a walk-in shower, basin & toilet

Apartment B:-  This apartment has:- a large bedroom with two 3' single beds. The bathroom is of a good size with bath/shower, WC and basin. The kitchen is fully fitted and equipped including a fridge and microwave and is partly open plan to the lounge.

The large bay fronted lounge:-  is tastefully decorated being a sunny room with a front aspect and is furnished tastefully with a double pull-down bed, occasional furniture, TV and dining table and chairs.

Apartment C Sleeps 4:- The pleasant open- plan lounge/kitchen:-  has direct access onto the garden. The kitchen is fully fitted and equipped including a fridge, microwave and table and chairs for dining.

The lounge area:-  is comfortably furnished with a three piece suite, occasional furniture and TV.

Apartment D sleeps 6-7:- This apartment is adjacent to pretty patio area covered by grape vined pergola and lit by Spanish ceramic lanterns, just the perfect place for breakfast on a sunny morning or supper on hot balmy evenings.

The ground floor lounge/kitchen:-  is open-plan, the kitchen being fully fitted and equipped including fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Also dining table and chairs.

The lounge area:- has comfortable seating, occasional furniture and TV.

The spacious first floor:- contains three bedrooms. One large with a 4'6" double bed, one room with a 3' single and lastly a large room with three 3' single beds. All the bedroom are off a large hall. The bathroom has bath/shower, WC and basin

Apartment  E Sleeps 4/6:- The spacious kitchen:-  is fully fitted and equipped with fridge/freezer and microwave. There is dining table and chairs for six people. The bay fronted lounge is decorated in traditional style and comfortably furnished with a sofa bed, two armchairs, occasional furniture and a TV.

Apartment F sleeps 2:- This is a cosy one bedroom apartment. There are two 3' single beds in the bedroom which has ensuite walk-in shower, WC and basin.

The open plan style lounge/kitchen:-  is spacious. The kitchen area is fully fitted and equipped with fridge and microwave. The lounge contains dining table and chairs, sofa, occasional furniture and TV

Apartment G seeps 4:-  Ground floor:-  The garden is accessed through french doors onto own patio with garden furniture

This 1 bedroom apartment is a recent addition

Large bedroom:-  with two single beds that can fold away into the wall

The kitchen:-  is fully equipped with a cooker, Microwave , fridge freezer and everything that you would expect to find in a kitchen . Had Dining take and chairs

The lounge:-  has a 3 piece suit, occasional table  TV

The Ensuite bathroom:- has a walk in shower, toilet and basin

Apartment H  Sleeps 6:-  Open the door to Apt H into a square hall with doors to the main bedroom, bathroom and lounge.

This three bedroom apartment:-  has a bright and sunny lounge with direct access to the kitchen.

The family bathroom:- has a walk-in shower, toilet and basin.

The main bedroom:- has a double bed and en-suite shower room. The room is large with front aspect.

The twin bedrooms:- are off the lounge and have 3' single beds, wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Access to the garden and facilities is down a staircase direct from the main hall .

Apartment J - The Coach House:- 2 bedrooms - sleeps 4

The coach house is a detached two storey building situated at the end of the garden.

The accommodation comprises:- two en-suite bedrooms on the first floor and a large open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen on the ground floor.

The whole ground floor is open plan around a central staircase. The lounge area has sofas, occasional furniture and TV and looks out onto the patio area. The dining area has table and chairs. The kitchen is adjacent and is fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave and fridge freezer.

Both bedrooms have twin beds with en-suite bathrooms. The bathrooms have walk-in large showers, basin and toilet.

Outside is a private patio area with table and chairs

Apartment K:-  Sleeps 1/2 This is a comfortable studio apartment. The entrance hall gives access to the kitchen, bathroom and lounge/bedroom. There are two 3' single beds in the lounge which also has a sofa, TV and wardrobe

The kitchen:- is spacious and fully fitted and equipped with oven, fridge and microwave. There is a breakfast bar with two stools for mealtimes.

The bathroom:-  has a bath with shower over, WC and basin.

Apartment L:-   Sleeps 4 This apartment has:- two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one twin room with 2 single beds.

The bathroom:- is a good size with walk-in shower, WC and basin

The lounge:- is tastefully decorated, being a sunny room with two south facing windows. It is furnished with a comfortable sofa, armchair, TV, occasional furniture, dining table and chairs.

The kitchen:- is well equipped with oven, hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave. It is a bright sunny rom with view over the garden.

Apartment M:-   Sleeps 6 This large sunny apartment:-  has three bedrooms, all with two 3' single beds. One has an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, WC and basin. The family bathroom also has a walk-in shower, WC and basin.

About the area:- Glenthurston is situated to the South East of the Centre of London. We are in a residential area, a 5 minute walk from the train stations.

Trains run from:-  Catford Bridge/Catford stations to the following main stations in central London:

London Bridge 15 minute journey

Charing Cross 22 minute journey

Blackfriars 19 minute journey

Victoria 18 minute journey

Trains run every 15 minutes during the day starting at 05:31am and finishing at 11:53pm.

Travel zones go from 1 - 6. A travel card covering all train, tube and bus journeys for a day in zones 1-4 costs 4.50GBP per adult. Children up to age 14 cost 80pence.

Directions by rail :

From Gatwick airport: Take the Express to Victoria and change for a train to Catford.

From Heathrow airport: Take the Heathrow Express to Paddington, the Bakerloo line tube to Charing Cross and change for a train to Catford.

From Stanstead airport: Take the Stanstead Express to Liverpool St, Circle line tube to Embankment, walk up hill to Charing Cross, then train to Catford Bridge.

By Road; From M25, take J3 onto A20 towards London. At first roundabout turn left onto A205. Canadian Ave is the turning on left after Lewisham Town Hall.
