This cosy cottage set in beautiful moorland in the Pennines is located within just 40 minutes drive of Beamish, Hadrian's Wall,
old market towns, Newcastle, Gateshead Metro Centre and Angel, and Durham
Cathedral, making this an ideal place for a peaceful break, with plenty to do
and see.
It has been recently restored to its original appearance with new traditional
style windows and completely refurbished main bedroom and bathroom.

Bedrooms
The double bedroom is a bright and sunny room furnished in pine with a king size bed and plenty of storage space.
Twin bedded room with pine beds and comfortably furnished.
Duvets, pillows and electric blankets provided. Linen hire £5 per person. Child's bed or cot available.
Bathroom
Bathroom includes an over-bath shower and a shaver point.
Kitchen
The newly decorated kitchen includes a full range of pine units and plenty of equipment including a microwave, freezer and washer/dryer.
Lounge/Dining room
Full of character the lounge/dining room furnished in pine has wood burning stove, (logs provided) bed settee, TV (dodgy reception) video and a payphone.
Cosy for two but has ample space for a family and lots of books and games for wet days!
Garden
The garden, with its marvellous views, has a terrace with barbecue and garden furniture.
Outside there is a bench by the front door making this ideal to take breakfast.
Around the area
C2C cycle route passes the cottage and the Pennine Way is also within reach.
There are local walks in every direction, a reservoir to sail, rivers to fish, mining relics to explore and streams to play in, and golf course and horse riding within easy reach.
The pretty and unspoilt Durham dales, Teesdale and Weardale include Caldron Snout and High Force waterfalls and a newly re-opened steam railway.
