Breamish Valley Cottages

These fifteen charming stone cottages and extensive leisure facilities stand amongst the farmland and hills of the Breamish Valley, nestling at the foot of the Cheviot Hills. We are situated in a tiny farming hamlet of Branton and is only half an hour from the coast.

Many of the properties were created from a traditional range of early 19th century farm buildings. Great care was taken to preserve their original character while meeting the requirements expected of a comfortable and relaxing holiday home.

To meet the growing demand from our many new and regular visitors, the choice of properties was extended in 2003 with the introduction of a superb range of new cottages built by local craftsmen.

The cottages are in a sheltered and attractive courtyard. Great care was taken to preserve the original character of the buildings as well as meeting the requirements of a comfortable and relaxing holiday. 

Accommodation

Throughout the cottages we have used traditional country furnishings, and all the cottages have modern well-equipped kitchens with electric oven, microwave oven and dishwasher. Satellite TV, CD / radio, telephones and well-stocked bookshelves are standard as well as wood-burning stoves and oil-fired central heating for which free logs are provided.

Holidays are for doing just as you please. If you are feeling energetic, there's no better place to be than the Breamish Valley.

Quiet roads and country lanes offer easy walking and cycling, and a multitude of signed paths and long-distance trails offer visitors a wide choice of routes through river valleys and over the hills to the Scottish border.

Close to Branton you can find excellent trout and salmon fishing rivers, several pony trekking centres and numerous first-class golf courses.

After an exhilarating day in the fresh air, you can relax in our private garden area, and have a barbecue, or have a game of tennis on our all-weather tennis court, or you try the putting green or play croquet on the lawn.

For the youngsters there's a children's adventure playground, a games field and a games room where they can play pool, table tennis and table football or sit and watch television.
