Romantic Cottage Holidays offering you the chance
to catch up on all those things you love to do, in the inspiring surroundings of
the legendary North Yorkshire coast. We accommodate two people for a
minimum stay of 3 nights. We are unable to accept pets and our homes are
strictly non-smoking for your convenience.
Crab and Lobster Cottage

Nestled in the heart of the idyllic village of Runswick Bay, Crab & Lobster Cottage (as featured in The Sunday Times) is an ideal destination for anyone seeking a peaceful and luxurious break away from it all.
The opulent accommodation and simply breathtaking views are perfect for a romantic break without having to compromise on style and home comforts.
A hidden gem on the North Yorkshire Coast, Runswick Bay's unspoilt beauty has afforded it the"Best Beachcombing Award 2007" beating off stiff competition from many other popular locations throughout the UK.

Crab & Lobster Cottage is maintained to a very high standard and features Farrow & Ball paints, solid oak floorboards, tasteful Laura Ashley furnishings, chandeliers and all the comforts of home as well as retaining some original features of the property
Lounge
A comfortable lounge complete with large two person sofa, LCD TV
with Freeview, a selection of DVD's, books and games, flame effect stove and a
window seat to enjoy the views.
Kitchen
A well equipped solid oak kitchen with Belfast sink, full
size oven and 4 ring hob, microwave, large fridge freezer and plenty of pots and
pans!
Bedroom
A spacious double bedroom with dressing table and wardrobe A large
bathroom complete with the properties' original Art Deco bath and three
showerheads, shaving point and towel rail.
Private patio with views towards Kettleness Point which can be enjoyed all year by the light of our storm lantern in the winter months or the moonlight shining over the Bay in the summer months.
About the area
Runswick Bay is a quiet former fishing village situated just 8 miles north of
Whitby and a few miles south of Staithes.Steeped in history and charm, there is
a caféteria, pub serving food and local ales and within the nearby village of
Hinderwell. You will find a Butcher's, Post Office, Hairdressers, Petrol
Station, Fish & Chip Shop and a number of Public Houses

White Rose Cottage
Located in the picturesque old fishing village of Robin Hood's Bay,
White Rose Cottage is the perfect setting for a cosy romantic break. Grade
II Listed, the cottage has been refurbished to the highest specification. The
one bedroomed cottage combines traditional charm with ultra modern facilities
tastefully finished in the "shabby chic" style.

Nestled amongst the quaint cottages of the old village (and only yards from The
Laurel Inn) the property is perfectly located for easy access to unload and all
the amenities of the village including the beach which is only a 2 minute walk
away
A secluded private entrance at ground floor which leads to the
fully central heated accommodation.
Bedroom
An elegant Victorian style double bedstead with sumptuous quilts
and fluffy pillows. The exposed timbers, wide oak floor boards and chandeliers
add to the elegance of this room which has a white porcelain wash hand basin and
shaver point for your convenience.
Bathroom
Comprising of terracotta flagged floor, white flush suite, electric
towel rail and a luxuriously deep slipper bath with hand held shower over.
Kitchen/ Lounge

An oak staircase leads up to the living room and kitchen where you can relax on the large sofa in front of the flat screen TV watching some of our DVD's or read a book by the light of the ornate glass chandelier or cook up a gastronomical feast in our kitchen, the choice is yours.
Facilities in our solid oak kitchen include a Belfast sink, all the kitchen utensils you may need, electric oven with 4 ring hob, microwave and fridge with small freezer compartment.
Private Roof Terrace
Just off the kitchen allows you to have a BBQ in the summer months or just sit and relax. White Rose Cottage gives the discerning holidaymakers a truly comfortable atmosphere in a stylish home away from home in the heart of the old village of Robin Hood's Bay.
Local Area
This cottage is in the oldest part of the village with its narrow twisting
roads and alleyways, the cottages and houses nestle together with little shops
selling everything you need for your stay. Situated for easy access to unload,
White Rose Cottage is in close proximity to the Laurel Inn Public House, Muir
Lea Stores and 400 metres from the beach. Gift shops, pubs, restaurants, fish
and chips and a museum are just some of the things on offer within the village.
There are so many other places to visit in the North Yorkshire Moors National
Park if you can drag yourself away from the Bay. From the ancient port of Whitby
to the north and many pretty coastal villages further along like Sandsend,
Staithes and Saltburn to Scarborough and Filey to the south and of course
"Heartbeat" country inland - you'll wish you'd stayed longer
Two Sneaton Hall
If you are looking to escape the city and head for the country then this is
the property for you. This striking apartment set in Sneaton Hall, a
sympathetically restored Grade II Listed Georgian Manor House has everything you
could wish for.
Lying just a few miles inland from the popular and historic old fishing port of
Whitby, Sneaton Hall is positioned on the edge of a peaceful rural village with
unrivalled views overlooking Whitby, the Abbey headland and out to sea.

Recently refurbished this spacious one bedroomed apartment is not your average hideaway. In keeping with the building's heritage, original period features of the property have been retained and enhanced by the addition of carefully chosen furnishings as well as all the mod cons you would expect to make your stay a comfortable one
The elevated views across the fields towards the sea can be enjoyed from the comfort of our large sofas through the sliding sash windows and double patio doors or if the weather is good enough, you can sit out on our extensive private patio area.
Bedroom
A Victorian style King size bed dressed with sumptuous linen and scatter
cushions. The period style bedroom also benefits from the original shutters to
the windows, chandeliers, fireplace (not in use), and French period style
antique furniture.
Lounge
A spacious lounge furnished with two, large 3 person sofas with solid oak furniture, flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD/CD player, stereo system, mood lighting and a telescope to zoom in on the activity out at sea!
Kitchen
Cream fitted kitchen including large breakfast bar with
integrated oven, 4 ring hob, washing machine, a large fridge freezer and
microwave as well as plenty of storage space and utensils.
Bathroom
Three piece bathroom suite with a Victorian style roll top bath
with a hand held shower over, shaver point and electric towel rail.
The property has wall mounted electric radiators with individual
timer controls and thermostats (plus a hot water bottle in case you're really
cold!).
Outside
Private Entrance. A large enclosed private patio area complete with table and chairs as well as use of communal gardens.Allocated off street parking space adjacent to the property.
Local Area
Amenities within the village of Sneaton include the award winning ice cream
makers at Beacon Farm and a farm shop selling a range of conveniences such as
milk and bread. There is also a pub with an open fire, serving home cooked food,
the Village Hall and Church. Beacon Farm also has a caféteria within its
grounds. For the adventurous, you can explore on your doorstep the Lower Esk
Valley well known for its attractive scenery and walks.
A short drive away gives you the option of exploring the heritage coastline or
heading inland to the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors where you will find
"Heartbeat" country, picturesque moorland, breathtaking waterfalls, romantic
steam trains, famous film and TV locations and much much more
