Village Farm and Town Foot Farm

Holiday Cottages in Northumberland

Village Farm and Town Foot Farm is Perfectly located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on one of the finest unspoilt coastlines in Britain, the village of Shilbottle has a history dating back to Anglo-Saxon times.

The two farms enjoy a tranquil rural setting and provide an ideal holiday base just three miles from Alnmouth and a similar distance from the historic market town of Alnwick.

Situated in the heart of the old village and Town Foot Farm on the northern edge of the village we offer an excellent choice of holiday accommodation, ranging from modern Scandinavian-style chalets to traditional stone-built cottages and a 17th century farmhouse.

Whichever property you choose our guests are welcome to use our extensive leisure facilities, including the Swimming Pool, Gym, Sauna, and Games Room and Tennis and Horse Riding.

Village Farm is centered around the farmhouse, an attractive stone-built 17th century house. Booked as one unit, the farmhouse can sleep up to twelve persons. Alternatively, it can form two separate units, Church Side and Stable Side, each one fully equipped for 4/6 people.

We have two other cottages at Village Farm - Pantile Cottage and Wool Cottage - and four chalets. The chalets are ideal for either a winter or summer holiday. In the winter, they are cosy and warm; in the summer they are bright and airy.

A ten minute walk across the fields from Village Farm, or a short drive, will take you to Town Foot Farm. The facilities at Town Foot Farm include Town Foot Riding Stables with both indoor and outdoor riding surfaces and off-road field tracks, and a coarse fishing pond.

Murrayfield is located in the village of Shilbottle and is thus separate from both Village Farm and Town Foot Farm. However, it is only about 250 yards from Village Farm.
