This well appointed, luxury apartment, with it's charming beamed ceilings and interesting open brickwork features, is hidden above the cosy, traditional tea rooms run by the owner's sister

Kirkbymoorside provides a very central and convenient base from which to explore Ryedale's wide-ranging and varied visitor attractions. The beautiful heritage coastline lies to the east, and the great historic city of York to the west, both can be reached within one hours travelling time.

Situated in a quiet location, the apartment has the benefit of being less than two minutes walk from the shops, doctors surgery, chemist, churches and is convenient for almost all the amenities you could require.

Public transport is available with the nearest railway station being located 16 miles away in Malton. There is a daily local bus service available from Kirkbymoorside Market Place. 

Accommodation at The Retreat

This three bedroomed apartment sleeps up to five people.

The apartment has full central heating throughout, with the additional benefit of a real flame effect open fire in the living room.

Bedrooms

1 double bedded room, 1 twin bedded room and 1 single room.

All rooms have been carefully appointed and are fully equipped to provide quality contents and tasteful furnishings to suit the needs of the more discerning visitor. A welcome tray is included.

Towels, bed linen and heating are all included in the price. (A change of linen and towels is offered for two-week lettings). The bathroom contains a bath with a shower above, shaver socket and light, washbasin, wc. and heated towel rail. The dining area, which forms part of the lounge, has a substantial dining table and a hostess trolley for more leisurely mealtimes. The lounge has a colour TV/video recorder and a quality radio/CD/cassette mini-system available for use (when relaxing in one of the two leather sofas, perhaps?) In the hallway, there is a desk, chair and there is plenty of information on things to do and see, and places to visit.

Kitchen

Fully equipped with a substantial fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, gas cooker and a wide selection of crockery, glassware and cutlery.

The owner lives locally and is on hand to provide any necessary assistance or additional information which may be required. The owner's sister will be available on the premises most days.

Should you wish to benefit from a breakfast tray, picnic lunches or a quiche salad tea, plus choice from a range of home-baked cakes, these are available by separate order from the tearoom, "Cream". Details and an order form are available in The Retreat and will also be included in your booking pack, just in case you fancy having your evening meal ready when you arrive.

Parking

Convenient on-street parking is available, either opposite the apartment or just around the corner in the cobbled market place

Please note that this is a non-smoking property, pets are not allowed and the minimum age for children is 10yrs of age.
