The Farmhouse

Crookhurst, a traditional unspoiled farm house stands in a large enclosed lawned garden, in a quiet rural setting. Surrounded by open farmland with views to the Solway Firth and Skiddaw, it is an ideal base for all the family and groups of all ages.

Allonby Bay is just ½ mile away. A great location for exploring the Northern and West Lakes, within easy reach to Carlisle, Scottish Borders and Gretna Green.

Ideal for the Lake District and in a secluded, peaceful location, Crookhurst Farmhouse and Cottage provide every modern facility and appliance you will need for a relaxing break in beautiful Lakeland surroundings.

Combined, the farmhouse and cottage can sleep up to 14. The Cottage is ideal for up to 3 people.

The Farmhouse - sleeps up to 12

Ground Floor:- 
Utility room:- with washing machine and tumble drier.
Dining / Kitchen:- with dishwasher, microwave, electric cooker fridge and freezer.
Lounge:- with easy seating, gas fire, colour TV, video DVD plus digital TV and CD player.
Bedroom on ground floor:- twin beds TV, DVD player plus easy seating.
Shower room:- with Toilet wash basin & electric shower (suitable for the elderly or people with limited mobility)

First Floor :-
Bathroom:- with shower, hand basin and toilet.
1st Bedroom:-   1 single bed
2nd Bedroom:- 1 double bed plus one single futon
3rd Bedroom:- 1 double bed plus one single futon
4th Bedroom:- 1 double bed 1 single bed
Bed linen, gas, electric are all included in price.
Cot available (bedding not supplied)

The Cottage

The Cottage - sleeps 2/3

The Grade II listed Cottage offer beautiful views across the Solway Firth, surrounding farmland & hills. Just half mile along a country lane takes you to the award wining beach, shops, pub & restaurant at Allonby.

There is Gas central heating throughout the cottage.

Ground Floor:-

Living room:- With easy seating, Gas Fire, TV, Video and CD player.

Kitchen:- Fully equipped kitchen with Microwave, Electric Cooker, Fridge Freezer. 

First Floor:-

Shower room:- Toilet, wash basin & shower cubicle.
Large Bedroom:- Double bed and single futon
Second bedroom:- option Double bed and single futon

Also available:- The cottage residents have a private garden which is at the back of the house. You can take the whole house which can sleep up to 14 people . Short Breaks are also available

Around the area

Relax and unwind and enjoy one of the best beaches on the Solway just half a mile away, enjoy the tranquil surroundings, interesting and challenging walks, much to see. Approximately a half hours drive and you are in the middle of the Lake District town of Keswick, which is adjacent to the picturesque lake of Derwent Water, and is the starting point of the popular Skiddaw and Catbells climbs etc. There is something for everyone visiting this beautiful area.
