Nutshell Barn is a Grade 2 listed barn converted to a very high standard in late 2001, situated in an excellent location close to the lake district and is available all year round

Set in the small hamlet of Biggins only 10 minutes walk from the historic town of Kirkby Lonsdale. In the heart of the Lune valley, the area is designated an “area of outstanding natural beauty” and is close to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Kirkby Lonsdale is 6 miles from Junction 36 of the M6 motorway.

Kirkby Lonsdale is set in a superb location adjacent to the river Lune, boasting many historic and architectural attractions including Devil’s Bridge, mentioned in the Domesday book of 1086, an 11th century Norman parish church, and many 17th and 18th century buildings
 

Accommodation

The accommodation comprises two bedrooms (one double, one twin), dining kitchen and lounge. The outlook is over open countryside to Barbon Fell.

The Barn has been furnished and equipped to a very high standard.

Two bedrooms one double, and one twin.

Bed linen (duvets) & towels are provided.

Lounge/Dining Kitchen

The lounge and dining kitchen are on the first floor to take full advantage of the views to open countryside

Oil fired central heating. Solid fuel stove in the lounge (all fuel & electricity is included) .

TV, video, DVD/Play station 2, radio-cassette & CD player.

Kitchen

Dishwasher, fridge-freezer, washer-drier, electric oven & hob, microwave

There is parking for two cars and the use of a garage for storage.

Unfortunately we are not able to allow pets in the holiday cottage. Smoking is not permitted in the Cottage.

Nutshell Barn is independently inspected on an annual basis.

Tariff's

The changeover day is Friday. Three- and four-night breaks are available in off-peak season and are sometimes available at short notice during peak season. The owners, Stephen & Joyce Wightman, personally manage the cottage.

Prices are for the property including all fuel and power, bed linen (duvets) and towels. No additional booking fees are payable. 20% non-refundable deposit with booking. Balance due 4 weeks prior to commencement of holiday. Please ring to check availability before sending any money. Short breaks are either Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
